Uhm, lagos, it's mpeg, it's not full quality;
you can get better quality from a better compression codec; and have it half or a third of the size. I do that for a living. have a nice day. |

i think defgephs camera records in mpg, so he just uploaded what was on there without converting it. yes, thing like divx provide quality and small size, but sometimes people over compress the images and loose a lot of the quality and detail, just to make it a small download. so what im trying to say.....dont sacrifice the quality of the vid just to make a smaller download.

He was talking earlier about getting his video card compressor to work.. his camera records in the MiniDV codec, like all digital video cameras nowadays exluding digitalhi8; he just saved it as a mpeg

ok guys. seriously. stop bickering, and just enjoy the videos. if you can't wait shid, just get a faster connection if it's that important. when posting videos, others don't have to put everyone else's expectations first. it's just about the vids. not the compression, or the transfer rate, or the size. if it's something you do for a living, you compress it if it's so important. otherwise, just enjoy the videos that people post for others to enjoy, not for others to criticize their video editting capabilities...

im screwin with virtualdub trying to make these files smaller, the most compression i can get out of it is shaving off maybe like 800kb/1mb at most.

Def; compresssss!! There's no reason why that has to be a 30 MB video; I doubt it needs to be bigger than 6 MB. I tried to compress it; but I'm getting a strange error and my finished file appears white. I'll mess with it after I finish getting my ass raped in Splinter Cell

hmm, i like the in car one better tho, mmm BOV sound was nice. i think sooner or later our lazy a**es in oregon/washington should make a cool movie of our meets, thats if we dont cross some motel 6 and go there first... lol
 but i got the whole video -> digital set-up on my computer and i've never used it so i'd like to try it, add some music and put the video's together maybe to make one whole. i know i'd totally kill all the 56k ppl but im thinking most of us have atleast cable....hence i said MOST ... not all, sorry guys
