Do the mufflers alone add any noticable increase in performance, or does it involve the whole piping?

i noticed a difference on my car......when i went from my 2.5" straight through to a highflow muffler the car got noticably slower......tear i want my can back

a muffler alone will add no hp. If you do header-back piping (2.25 is best for celicas) youll feel an addition of hp. Most of it will be in your mind, you it'll pull better up top.
