I own a 1995 Celica ST and now for some reason it randomly doesnt allow me to go into gear, reverse it will grind and i can force it in but it makes some nasty LARGE nocking noises like the tranny wants to jump out of my car, then if it allows it into a forward gear it will make smaller jerks until i rev it and let off the clutch all the way, wtf is wrong with this, its an off and on problem.... i can go a week without it doing this then all of a sudden it just does it and wont stop until i jam it into reverse and then 1st and it stopped clunking

It may be your clutch hydraulic system. When I replaced my slave cylinder a couple weeks ago, it fixed my problems grinding when going into reverse, and allows me to go into first much easier. And the slave cylinder was only $35 or so, and isn't hard to replace.

sounds like the clutch is not letting go, you can try a few things...
on your clutch pedal there is a brass threadrod that goes through the firewall.. try turining that to change the point at where your clutch engages at and see if it helps. if that dont work, you can try changing the slave cylinder like coomer said. if that still dosnt fix it, you may just need a new clutch. sometimes the springs on the clutch get eaten up and dont disengage the clutch like they should. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

I kinda have somthing similar, but not even close. Like it doesnt ever grid, except some random times, when im getting up on it, not sure why. but, Mine Always seems kinda tough to put in gear, like not really the clutch, but it seems like i have to use a good amount of force on it, to go into gear.. well more then any other car I have ever drivin. My question is, is there somthing I should take apart and lube up or what?? or is that just how it is?? Thanks .. Also its when I cruise above 3500 rpm.

thanks a lot for the suggestions guys, and to add a side note, my care does not grind into any foreward gear, only in reverse when its doing this. But once again for some wierd-ass reason it seems to have calmed down again
