im just wondering if anyone knows if the curren front end will fit on the celica without any major modifications. will the fenders, hood, headlights, etc bolt in or not. and what would the price of this cost to do. im just curious. i haven't seen anything about this kind of project and im just wondering why.

im assuming the fenders and hood and bumper will without major modification, but i imagine the headlights would require some custum mounting. and nobodys done this i believe becuase of availibility of parts and the overall cost.... there was one guy who did it to a hatch, i remember seein pics of it...

stock hood, bumper, fenders, and lights are all unique to Celicas and Currens...None are interchaneable with one another. If you buy all the parts, mounting shouldent be that big a problem, but drill holes might be placed differently...

yupp, it was for sale in florida, it was also swapped.

and id imagine the hood and fenders would be interchangeable, all hoods are are 4 bolts that connect to hinges, i wouldnt imagine toyota re-engineered hinges and fender mounting points for the exact same frame twice. you may need a different hood latch though similar to the GT-4 hood problem. the headlights and bumper are obviously going to take more work because they are of a completely different design than the 6gc.

as far as fitment goes, everything is pretty much interchangeable...this conversion is very similar to the usdm dc integra -/> jdm type r conversion...parts wise youre definately gonna have to ship overseas from japan or new zealand where they are very popular. and as far as price...i guess it depends on luck and connections but i remember seeing the trd version of the curren bumper for about $900...the place in florida where this guy did his conversion doesnt exist anymore and i remember hearing it wasnt done very well
