My name is Ron and I work for Motors Unlimited out of California. For years I have been an extreme Toyota enthusiest as well as high performance Japanese Toyota engine importer. For references please go to Xcars.com or the Mr2 message boards and do a search for Motors Unlimited. We are Toyota only engine importers and we specialize in bringing late model and hard to find Jdm complete engine swaps.
We currently have a complete St205 Celica alltrac front clip with the 245hp 3sgte engine and air to water intercooler. This front clip can be purchased with or without the body parts which are in good condition. Also comes equipped with tein coilovers. Please call or email me as if you post to this forum I might not get back with you as fast. For accurate pricing to your location please give us a call at (909) 283-3778 and ask for Ron the Toyota specialist. In addition, we also have Mr2 complete rear clips with Lsd Transmissions, St185 3sgte Celica front clips, Levin and Treuno complete 4agze front clips, and 4age 20 valve front clips. All of these engines will fit into the 94+ Celica. _________________ Ron (909) 283-3778 Motors Unlimited |

i do not believe those coil-overs can be used by us here because the "all-trac" or GT4 uses the Super Strut suspension.

Hello everyone and glad to hear this forum is so very active. I am located outside of Barstow and we have our shipments in a public wherehouse both in our Northern California area as well as our Southern California area. You can do a search on the Mr2 message boards or ask about us. We really are your last place to go when looking for Toyota complete engine swaps.
Unlike most importers, we do not believe in taking parts off of any of our products. Sheet metal and small things to lower the price on shipping as well as the product itself from time to time depending on the consumer, but other then that we believe in selling our product the way it came from Japan. With that said, the body parts will be sold as an entire package, or with the front clip. Thanks guys! Ron (909) 283-3778 Motors Unlimited |

cheap we mean not over inflated like the crap you see on ebay...you bid 2000 bucks and they end it early soo they dont have to sell it..or its NR and shipping is over a grand....someone is going out with alot of money in their poket...that clip prolly cost way less then what people sell it...hey i guess when i go to the navy if i get sent in japan whoa...ill send you all gt-4 clips hahah but i have heard of people hooking up with navy people and send them jdm stuff...so anyone have a buddy thats over there?
its just be easy if you post all the prices and how much for shipping then we all can see This post has been edited by Gilbert_619: Sep 29, 2004 - 4:13 PM |

Very difficult to post prices as they can change as much as 1k+ depending upon consumer location and current stock as prices from Japan are never solid. For a 3rd gen clip you will be looking at anywhere between 2800 and 4500 shipped depending upon what comes with the clip ie.... projectors, sheet metal, price paid in Japan ect. We only deal with high quality clips from Japan, not junk metal that you get from Malaysia, or Hong Kong in which you have to be very seasoned or be a part of a message board that is very seasoned so you know who you should and should not deal with. You will get what you pay for when dealing with Jdm USED engines. Give this board about a year or two and you guys will surely know who you should deal with and who to run from. This Celica site should be like a sister site to the Mr2 message boards and I highly recommend everyone to chime in on that board as there are many 3rd gen owners as well as a ton of 2nd gen owners.

St185 will be something like 2500 shipped to Nyc. St185 prices will usually be a bit more stable then late model engine packages. You are pretty darn far away but we ship to NY all the time. Rc model st185 we just got in will be more. I have been very busy with work as of late. Please give us a call for any pricing and technical info as I hate to leave questions lingering on the message board as I do not frequent the browser enough.
I hope everyone understands the difference in getting a quality engine vs the cheapest you can find. I have been doing this for years and it never fails to hear some of the horror stories people have with some of these importers that do not know anything about Toyotas. Ask them about Honda or Nissan and you will probably get the right answer. Problem is, Honda and Nissan swaps are not the same as Toyota swaps in regard to what is or is not needed. This is why people get engine and tranny packages and can not complete a swap. Thanks Ron (909) 283-3778 Motors Unlimited |

QUOTE(x94celicagtx @ Dec 8, 2004 - 4:22 PM) Ron, i was wondering how much the total cost would be for send ing a st185 front clip to wauesha, WI. (zip 53018). How many miles areon the car and do u have any pictures or more information Here is the bottom line on St185 front clips. They are too OLD to trust in finding one in decent shape. You might have compression, but the last 10 I have seen have not looked clean appearance wise. Burnt oil under the oil cap, high mileage, ect.... Also, ST185 engines are harder to wire in because they are not the engine that shares the 6g body style and therefor will be harder to interface into ones existing Efi. We feel much more comfortable selling St205 front clips as the mileage will be better and the engine overall is quite more robust then the St185. With that said, our St205 front clips without sheet metal to the 6G forum members is between 2800 to 3500 shipped all day long. Turbo and intake manifold alone are worth the difference in price compared to the St185. Take the black market price away from the turbo and intake manifold and you are right there with the exact same price as the St185. And finally, there is just no absolute comparison when you are talking about power output and torque charecteristics when comparing the two engines. St205 3rd gen 3sgte will run mid to low 12's with BOLT ONS vs 2nd gen St185 3sgte which will cost you a pretty penny to even break 12's. This is a fact gentleman on Mr2's as it is well documented. QUOTE And finally, there is just no absolute comparison when you are talking about power output and torque charecteristics when comparing the two engines. Edit: I disagree QUOTE Although the gen3 produces more power in its stock configuration, all of that power comes from simple improvements that can be applied to a gen2 engine. -3sgte Power Primer This post has been edited by Doge: Dec 9, 2004 - 12:00 AM |

I completely disagree with the who ever that is you quoted. It might even be someone well respected, but going by first hand info as well as dyno plots, you will need to do alot of modification to the 2nd gen 3sgte to get into the mid to low 12's and it is well documented that 3rd gens are doing this with boost controller, downpipe, intake and exhaust. That is a fact the must be looked at.
Ron (951) 283-3778 Motors Unlimited Update: We currently have another Rc model 3sgte front clip with air to water intercooler. Price is 2500 shipped! Thanks |

Its also a fact that with the money that you save from buying a 2nd gen you can easily match and surpass the stock power of a 3rd gen. I would love to argue about it more but this isnt the place. Sorry to thread jack... the 3rd gen is a great engine.
I'd also like to ask you the question of where someone is going to get parts for the 3rd gen when someone here in the states needs something. Are you going to be able to keep people satisfied by making sure they are able to get what they need when they cant get here? This post has been edited by Doge: Dec 17, 2004 - 4:41 PM |

doge, getting parts for a 3rd gen is not as hard as everyone makes it out to be... Toyota World would most likely be able to help us out with that, not to mention EL prototypes, and god forbid Toysport.
And how often does something go out on an engine? |

yeh but most problems are evident before the car actually go's down. And, like I said the parts are not impossible to get.

With all due respect, your comments are more suited for posts that are about 4 years old. Everyone use to say the same thing about buying a 2nd gen and saving money to surpass the power of the 3rd gen. That might be possible in its absolute stock trim. However what us Mr2 owners have come to find out is that once you modify, such as intake, exhaust, downpipe, boost controller, you will be in a totally different realm with a 3rd gen. Those mods listed will get you into the 12's bottom line!! You will be in the mid to low 13's with the 2nd gen. This is not speculation, it is fact and has been proven by more then one Mr2 owner. And not being able to find 3rd gen parts is also a bit primitive as there is more then one Toyota dealership that stocks these parts. Jay Marks Toyota out of Texas stocks 3rd gen parts like water pump, oil pump, engine rebuild kit, cap and rotor, timing belt ect, for wholesale to the community. In addition, I supply our customers with 3rd gen parts from Japan as well. Again, I am not trying to knock you at all, but the comments you have made are a bit out dated. |

You are right MR2Swift... my point can only be made once you go beyond just the basic bolt on modifications. They do indeed respond differently to bolt on mods... once you start going alittle more hard core the playing field starts to become more level... but not many people get to the point of further modification... especially someone here in the states, as just having a 3rd gen 3S is a HUGE deal... much less going through further modifications. Sorry to bring controversy... I wasn't trying to be a dick.
