OK so I took my car into get estimated last friday for damage that was caused to my car in December at work...PARKED might I add. I took it to 2 of our local toyota dealers and the one that I've taken my car to for previous body damage (Rinke Toyota) quoted me $2040 for my RR QTR PNL and RR bumper. I then asked him to quote me for my FRT bumper bcus some biatch rear ended me and my paint started to stretch on the bumper. Well anyways...he gave me a $650 price telling me that they'd have to reorder a brand new bumper!! And they couldn't just strip the paint and primer it, it had to be reordered.
I asked him about the TRD package for our gen. and he said that he could order me the parts.

Well that was friday....so today during my lunch I run over to Page Toyota and the adjuster gave me quotes for RR- $1072 and for my FRT bumper- $300. A LOT better than the other price.

WTF?? Freakin Rinke Toyota scammin me!! mad.gif

Oh and yes, I got a claim and my insurance knows about it...I just now took it into get quotes bcus I've been busy with school n work.

But anyways...so at the second place I asked if it was possible to order the TRD package that was optional for our car. Well he looked it up and at first he said that he didn't think they could order it bcus that's what it said on the comp. screen...so he did some digging and asked his other coworkers and they looked at it. He said, "I don't see why you couldn't get them...bcus for ex. what if you came in with side skirt damage and needed to replace them...you'd have to order them from somewhere". SO, Basically i can still order the side skirts. He gave me a price for $205.37 ea. but told me that he could get them to me for $185. To paint, it would cost me $210 for both. SO about $600 for the skirts.

So...most likely going to go with Page Toyota....hopefully they can hook me up a lil more.

Ok well sorry if this was HELLA long of a post...

Like, go to a body shop instead. They'll be expensive, but not as much as a Toyota dealer.

ouch......... my friend was quoted for 2300 in repairs. When he crashed his car, his whole chassis moved towards the steering, his headlights were busted open, and his front bumper was completely destroyed. theyed fixed the frame, chasis, headlights, replaced non fog light front bumper with the 96+++ fog light front bumper.

It's official, Toyota dealerships get off on ripping people off.
