i could make the cover in cf. And color of lights, color of gauges, even style of gauges (font style, other small stuff, even color and style of needles) is at your wishes...

Whats why the price is high, cuz i want you guys to understand, that the cluster is made just like YOU want, not like i want or anyone else. It fully custom, and im trying to fit everyones needs.

It could be done, but some one would need to be TEST RABBIT smile.gif I would do first one for cheap just too see how it fits and etc. Let me know if you would be intrested..

Actually catch me on AOL, so we could discust this.

i'll type out what i think so he can just say yes or no to it.
but he should need a full set of the cluster housing, gauges, and all...basically what pops out. and then he'll go to work on that, but when he's done he'll need someone that he can ship the gauges to to test fitment, take pics, and tell him what needs changed and such

QUOTE (hioctane @ Oct 24, 2004 - 3:19 PM)
y0 d0ggy.

i started a thread in the mr2 gauging group buy section and i have 11 people who are interested. I tried catching you on aim but you're never on. They would like to know the price and how does his work. In order for them to get their custom gauge clusters do they have to take their gauge clusters apart and ship them to you? or do you just need a test rabbit one and from there you could build as many as you want? lemme know thanks

well, as long as MR2 are not so common here ( finding one in Junkyeard is like finding needle in a forest...) i would need one cluster from one of you guys. Basicly the first one would be done a lot cheaper, just to test fit and see if everything works right. So i would charge only for the parts and a bit for a work for the first one...

So - the idea is you take out your cluster (or if you have a spear one) and send it to me, after some time (basicly i give a 2 weeks period) you will get the moddified one.

so who wants to be a test rabbit from MR2 board? biggrin.gif

Im on AOL at night (your time) and only on weekdays (no weekends).

Let me know what you deside..

i'm just curious, and not trying to steal your design so don't give me too many details, but how exactly did you do this? it's effin' amazing.

also, will it be removable? i have a habit of buying and changes my guages quite often. i've yet to find one that's going along good with what i want my car to look like overall. after i get my car painted, i'll probably get some orange indiglos from speedhut. would also like your work done with carbon fiber and blue turn signals. along with that neat little bar that goes across the bottom of the cluster that shows the dummy lights and everything.

well, 1 week till i get you cluster (using USPS postal service), 1 week (aproximatly) to make it, and 1 week to send it to you back.

so aproximatly 3 weeks (depending on what day i would get your cluster, cuz if i get it on begining of the week, i wount be able to work on it till weekend)

Hey Doggy, are you interested in orders outside of Lithuania/US?? I'd love to have some custom gauges, and we have a pretty decent 6g community here in NZ, I'm sure I could piece together a few people for a group buy to save on shipping biggrin.gif Of course, there would be a huge wait on it due to shipping(understandably so), but it looks worth it smile.gif .

a couple questions...
#1, do you, or can you do something to make the tach more visible as the top if it is a pain to see at stock form...maybe drop it down or bring it towards the driver...maybe even stretch the lines further towards the center of a middle.
#2 Can you change the redline, say from 6300 to 7600? for those who have swapped, or plan to
#3, price for carbon fiber. Is this really possibly? im curious if the price would change.

im selling them INTERNATIONALY, it not a problem for me at all.
Shipping ussualy takes 10 days to anythere in a WORLD, so i just dont care if they are from US or other country smile.gif Just that i would need YOUR cluster cuz RHD cars have different wiring i think...

1# it is can be done, but it wount look right.. I have racing wheel, and the i drop it down i cant see the redline too smile.gif Thats why the shift lights are invented biggrin.gif

2# Yes i can, i can even change the style on font (that numbers are writen and etc.) i can even place your logo or anything you want on the gauges.

3# For CF i wound definantly charge 400$ + shipping, yes, it can be done and if you want yallow'ish look i can even cover them with KEVLAR.

If we were to organize a time when people would mail in their clusters would that mean you would only need a cluster from one of the people, or do you modify the actual cluster that is sent to you?

I modifie ACTUAL CLUSTER THAT IS SENT TO ME biggrin.gif in this way you will get 100% sure that IT WILL work after modifing. Cuz some cluster have different wirings, so sometimes warning lights are all mixed up..

Maybe we could start a core charge for the clusters. Im sure I can get a second cluster. I could use it while doggy mods mine.

Once hes sent mine back I could core sell it for $75-$100 to the next member on the list. They use the cluster while doggy mods theirs. Then they can sell it the same they paid in the beguining. That way they have a cluster for "Free" while they wait for theirs. In the case of non-mailing sellers doggy could just not mod their cluster until they mail.

How does that sound?

buy a used gauge cluster for a couple weeks.

Then do Wilsons idea of just selling it to the next guy in the list.

Yes, i can do this one. But as i said latly in this topic, it only could be done wright if you send me YOUR CLUSTER (you actual cluster from the car, or the one you gonna buy or the one you gonna borow and etc smile.gif ) Cuz in your case, i have NO CHANCE to get GT4 cluster over here...

DoGGy,
can you get the faces themselves to be glossed, like if i wanted a clean white face, could you get it to shine, or would you recommend something else?

also, is there way you could take pics before shipping them back(aka are you going for 100% customer satisfaction, or are you taking a shot at it and leaving it at what you get)

are you able to get some kind of light-up-display for a logo on the faces?

About faces - if you want them all glowing - get the indiglow gauges... in this case, i wount be able to make them like this. If you want only numbers to be glowing, then i can do anything in this case.

EVERY GAUGE CLUSTER IS MADE BY SPECIAL NEEDS OF CUSTOMER

This means - WE TALK, disscus what you wanna get out of it (colors, needle glowing color, colors of number and other stuff... What logos you want to use or what tipe of font you wanna use, i make few examples, and then you chose.)

EVERY customer will get to see his cluster in some progress stages - and you will see the end result. ONLY then everything is agreed i will ship it back. MONEY GOES AFTER THE CLUSTER IS FINISHED.

It may be done IF gauge faces are Black or some other dark color, then it can be done.

if you want one, either find two more to get their at the same time to save you $100, or just send what you have and pay the extra $100 to get it sooner

Yes, i can make it, and i can paint it like you want..... Only thing you would need to send me about 50 grams of paint with yo\ur cluster (exact color) cuz if this was custom color, there is no way i can chose it here (or you could send me like gal lid, so i could get the exact same color here chosen)

Soon there will be a GB on this (consynx is going to organise this) so price will be writen there.... Check it time after time, or IM me wink.gif
