Right now I have a 1995 Celica st 7afe automatic and I have been contemplating for months now weather I should do a 5sfe engine and transmission swap or just get a turbo for it. Any suggestions or estimated HP on eather 1??

First off, this was started in the wrong section.

i was going to do a 3sgte swap, but i herd its a lot of work, i have around $5,000 to spend. and iam from Whiting, NJ its in central jersey in ocean county near toms river and seaside.

damm if i had 5k to spend i for sure go with a 3sgte swap no matter how hard it is.....plus what i read i guess the swap is pretty straight foward just wiring would be a problem...i'm sure someone here can help you

I WANT TO DO THE 3SGTE SWAP, BUT I HERD THAT THE ENGINE IS SET UP FOR AWD AND I WOULD HAVE TO CONVERT MY CAR TO AWD, IS THAT TRUE??

no that's not true. you'd need a MR-2 / V6 camry / solara transmission to mate with the 3sgte. for $5000 you'd have one bad assed 3sgte swap. |

or get a gt tranny. Do you have a garage ? I can help you do the swap.
I'm in the process of doing a 3sgte swap as well. you can have a 3s swap for less than 5k. Around 4k completed DEF -------------------- I will return one day. |

yea, i have a 2 car grage and all the tools to do the swap, i just didnt want to cuz i herd u needed to convert it to awd.but if u dont iam def going to do the swap.

no, you do not need to convert it to all wheel drive. Just get a gt tranny,axles,axles brackets,shifter cables, and all four gt mounts. -------------------- I will return one day. |

and no offense to you man but if you thought the car needed to be converted to awd its apparent you have a lot of research to do. you can have someone help you with it but you atleast need to know the basics. the search function is a good place to start
