I've only played a couple hours of it. Yes it could have had a story, yes it's a lot like Prime. But it's a wonderful game. Fun to play, rich environment, and the visuals make Halo look like anus.

Feels just like all the other Metriod games (probably the best series next to Mario and maybe) except it's 3D. Retro did an amazing job, I'd love to get on their team when I graduate.

Going to store right now. Didn't realise it was out yet. Prime was the sh!t so I've been ready for a sequel ever since I beat it.

It sucks so much. Halo's beaten but not played nearly enough. Knee deep in Silent Hill 4 and Grand Theft Auto. A little bit into Echoes. Metal Gear is sitting on the table. And there are a bunch of games left to play (the three big platformers, Mario Tennis, GT4, KoTOR 2).

And finals are in a couple weeks.

At after December the next 12 months will be a barren wasteland for games.

Metal Gear apparently has a hour-long boss battle that is acclaimed to be one of the best ever. I can't wait to play it, the game looks phenomenal.

Currently? Comparative programming languages. Semiconductor materials. Cognitive ethnography. And Cogsci programming. I'm an Electrical Engineering major at UCSD seriously considering a job in game programming. In fact, come Spring I'm going to take a game programming project class (many, many hours of work). Maybe I'll post the executable for everyone's enjoyment.

You?

Oh, Snake Eater. Twin Snakes is a remake of Metal Gear Solid for Cube. Better graphics, first person view, etc. It's good though they ruined the cinemas.

I have it but haven't been able to play it... and not really a priority since I beat the PS version 3 or 4 times... what's wrong with the cinemas? I know they changed naomis voice to someon else for some dumb reason.

They rewrote and reanimated most of the cinemas. Snake does a lot of John Woo-style stuff and much of it is overdramatic.

Yeah, it was mostly a better-graphics nostalgia trip for me. Though first person opens up the gameplay a lot.

NOthing currently wink.gif But I must say the gaming industry is very tempting, I might going into 3d animation and go from there. Im cursed with a short attention span though, something Ill have to work on before I go to college/university.
