hey all,

If you read my previous post I recently purchased a 1998 volvo c70 coupe. Its saffron metallic, has the high pressure turbo, and is a 5-speed manual. I just got the new wheels and tires in and thought I would post a couple pics. They are 19 x 8" moda r6's with 245/35/zr 19 nankang ns-ii tires. Only other mods are european oem clear turn signals, springs, and a reprogrammed ecu. The car is really quick, and they only made 145 ever in this color so its kinda unique.

thanks for looking

thanks for the compliments,

yeah, I sold my stock wheels for $750 plus shipping! I am a toyota person at heart but I wanted something upscale to drive around in on the weekends. Dont get me wrong, its not a mercedes or bmw or anything but its different and it stands out. Kinda why I love playin with celicas so much. You can go to a car show and you dont see 80 other cars like yours!

I love the is300 but I already have a four door and didnt want another. I also paid cash for this one so at least I dont have a payment. I have a 2004 jetta 1.8t in gunmetal that I use when I have friends with me, this car for the weekends, a 2003 cavalier 4-door to commute into work(been hit 3 times with it, lol) and a 92 tercel that I am only using to race(4efte swap, fully gutted). Maybe ill step up to an is in a year or so once im making a little more money.

lol,
I make decent money as an engineer but by the time you figure in bills, living expenses, etc. I have to spend wisely. Its tough enough trying to mod one car. Imagine doing it with 3(I dont mess with the cavalier), lol

Trust me, I know the feeling.

The chameleon celica in my sig line was the first car I ever hooked up. I remember reading all the magazines at the time(there were like 2, this was the mid-90s) and wishing what I could do. I would sit there at night and write up lists of what I wanted. It was crazy, I was completely obsessed. My freshman year of college I went to my first import shop. After a couple months I bought a universal muffler and had it welded on. Then I cut my springs(which I quickly replaced with lowering springs), then side markers, then headlight bulbs(hey, that was alot for a broke kid!). One day I was at the shop and they were busy and I actually ended up helping a customer buy some stuff since I basically knew about everything in the store. I was actually offered a job there right after that and once I started getting the hookup on parts and stuff it was all downhill. I spent ALL my money on the car. Im talking eating ramen noodles so I use my money to get my valve cover polished, lol. I did have the first working clarion autopc on the east coast though! That has to count for something. Anyways, enough babbling. Im just happy to have the means to support my habit and im sure it will only get worse.
