Anybody make the long Thanksgiving commute? Mine was back to San Diego from around San Fran.

Wow.

Granted, people in SoCal have a fetish for using their brakes going 90 with nobody in front of them. Granted, people in SoCal love to find someone to drive next to at the same speed on a two-lane freeway. Granted, people in SoCal love to pass you on the right, slide into the small space in front of you, and brake.

But what pisses me off the most, is that I sat on I-5, 250 miles from my destination, in the middle of BFE on a freeway that is normally 80-90 mph. And I sat for a very long time because everyone was trying to get off at a tiny BFE rest stop. Not an accident, not an orchard fire, but just because people can't get off the freeway.

That sucks...when I go to Seattle(and when I used to go to Bellingham), I-5 was never that bad...lots of bumper to bumper traffic in Seattle though.

Thanksgiving food coma... good memories.

It just boggles my mind that people can consciously drive like complete morons all the time. I admit I can get aggro once in a while, but not to extent that it would lengthen thousands of peoples' trips home by hours.
