Well this morning when I got to school and tried to lock my door with the button on the key it wouldn't lock. I thought no big deal just do it manually.

Now this afternoon when I got home and open my hood to find my CAI pipe got loose and the only way to have space is take out the battery. I fixed the CAI but then when I try to reconnect the battery the alarm keeps going off. My key doesn't work. So I dissconnect the horn fuse and try to connect the battery again so that the horn doesn't sound. My lights keep flashing.

So my question is anybody have any ideas on how to reconnect the battery without setting off the alarm?

Ok...Updated I found the spare key and there is nothing wrong with both my keys because the red led flashes everytime I push the button.

So is there any way to turn off the alarm system? I need help ASAP.

I was just going to go out with a couple of my friends on a friday night. I don't go down to the cities that much because I heard a lot of bad stories about getting busted. wink.gif

Its the stock alarm system that comes with the car. The buttons are on the orignal key.

But thanks for the inputs I'm going to go to my local toyota deal to check it out.

hmm, probibly have to restart the alarm, I had to do that today, i let the batt die on my remote and i had to break in my car, and my alarm would not turn off, i did what you did, disconect/reconnect the power to it with no affect, then yanked the horn/siren output and took it apart to see if there was a reset because it did not respont to my remote even with a new batt. i eventualy fount the instructions and had to do a sequence with the remot and valet button to get it reset, pain in the.... but makes me happy it was so hard to reset.
