So what's a car you honestly think you'll do up later in life? And don't say GTR (something you'll never get) or turning ur celica into a GT4 (also something youll never do). Please say why. For example...

When I get outta college I wanna pick up a RD RX7 and swap in an LS1 or LS2. It would have great sex appeal, a classy interior, and the power to take most things on the street. Add some coilovers and you're set

--------------------
NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife
92 Civic hatch B16 - Sold
10th anniv RX-7 - RIP
The Slow Celica - Sold...and then crushed crushed due to street racing.

Quote from Seinfeild: George's Boss reading a magazine: "People magazine's most beautiful people. Oh and a Celica...nothin wrong with that!"

I'd love an FD. Love their style.

Though, really want to find a pristine Datsun some day.

are you serious? got any links?

as for me, check my sig, my 260z is a really long term project, although i am going for a budget racer sort of car

then there is the mustang, that thing is gonna be great in every aspect

eventually i want to import a GT4, legally, or grey area, i dont care, i will get one. even if i only drive it once a month, i will be happy.

its a tough choice... optimally a race prepped 05 Lotus elise smile.gif but the rarity makes it more of a lofty goal than the price does.

as far as all this custom work and insane modification... i donno if ill every try getting into that with a car anymore... id like to do it to customer cars *wink wink* but for me its either race prepped or stock with a nice all around stereo setup... i cant really justify the expense of something crazily modified just to drive it around and have people go oooooo and ahhhhhh and i find car shows boring so oh well... JMO.

I would have to agree with nat on this. Depending how long in the future.... I think the next thing im going to do is buy my aunts bmw 95 325i vert, then pull the engine and mod with m3 internals and turbo it, then do some suspension an lip kit. Later in life Il also wanna get a 69 camaro an vette.

Hmm... well, after I graduate I am going to either get an AE86 project, or (the more likely) used infinity G35 6spd coupe. A black one. smile.gif Then it's greddy TT time. I hope to put down just a bit over 400hp with the engine otherwise virtually stock. That would be well enough to handle 99% of the people on the road, right? smile.gif

I'm kinda partial to the 1st Gen Celica Coupes... but I'm not looking anywhere beyond my AE86 right now. That should appease my appetite for the time being. Long term... dunno. No plans.

43,000-16,000=27,000
i think 27,000 is enough to get me safely in the 400hp area, and have my suspension and downforce...BANGIN! tongue.gif

I could list a whole bunch of cars that I could easaly see myself having and fixing up, but i just cant see where the money would come from for it.

In truth: I'll have my celica till the motor falls out with like 300k miles on it, then I'll take the money i would have spent on a new car and get a newer better motor and run it for anouther 300k. By the time I turn 50 it will be a one of a kind classic, and I'll be the only one left viewing this site from some arcive server wondering what ever happen to all you guys, and if you ever got your dream cars.

PS: I will turn 50 in 2035, and a 94 celica will be as classic as this car is now

93-95 FD, id love to buy one now but i dont have a place to store it when it goes down mad.gif I dunno if my parents move out to WV then they are getting a 4 car garage and ill be ok to buy it. A 2jz swap on it would be sweet but im no fan of the LS1.

Plan on buying a 85-87 rolla here in the next weeks and doing a 4a swap on the SR5.

The Tc looks badass with the new kit they made i would be down for that with teh Toyota supercharger.

Other then that I have no clue. Im not set on any of those cars, my plans for an FD could change after a year so we will see.

OK AFTER SEEING THAT 533HP TC THAT THING LOOKS DELICOUS, I THINK ILL HAVE THAT. just with like 300hp on the supercharger

As i am getting a bit older and with the restrictions and custom duties in my country, my next car will be a JDM IS200 (Toyota Altezza) dual VVTi with 210bhp rwd. I cant wait for the new IS 200 model.
NOntheless it has to be a Toyota/Lexus.

Also going the RX-7 Route. Only I will be swapping a Turbo Bridgeport 13B into a second gen. I've been looking into the LS1 route and saw that it is quite possible but I love the rotary engines ability to rev up to high heaven and stay there.

I think I would like to get a salvaged supra. That would be the only way I could get one. I don't know if I would want the 2jz engine though...I've seen the 3s-gte put in and beefed up...i dunno. Too many choices on cars.

My mom is coaxing me into getting this new job...40 hrs a week with 9 dollars an hour and profit sharing. That would be good for me cuz I'm only 18 and make 5.90 with like 21 hours a week right now. With that money, I'd mod the crap out of the Celica or sell it and buy something else. I want a real sports car. Or a luxury Sedan with some nice rims, and some ICE. My love for my Celica is diminishing. People ask me if I want to sell it and for how much and I always go high, I'm like uh, 7. And they're like WOW! That is it?! Me: Umm..yeah...

Who knows, a nice European car wouldn't hurt. Or a Supra or Rx7 *dream*

Edit: Didn't know I already posted in this thread. First reply too. I suck at life.

QUOTE(Akimbo @ Dec 11, 2004 - 6:12 PM)

Dont be so sure of that dude. I was making 7.50 an hour when i managed a Papa Murphys pizza place and then I came to jetblue and started making 10.65 an hour for 40 hours a week with profit sharing as well but I dont know where my money is going. tongue.gif

edit: BTW Profit sharing usually goes into your Stock purchase plan which you probably have as well or into your 401K so you really don't see that money for a while.
