Gran Turismorator
You scored -21%
You are a respectable tuner. You probably subscribe to one or more tuner magazines and know, quite a bit about your car and/or racing in general. Either that or you play a ****load of GT3. At any rate, you recognize the difference between a wastegate and a blow-off valve. In time, and with practice, you may attain "Racer X" status since it is supposed that you are relatively new to tuning and still have much to learn. Keep, working, and thank the maker that you're not a ricer.

damn heres mine:

The Non-Racer
You scored 4%
One of two things happened if you received this rating. Either you know absolutely nothing about tuner culture and chose "no idea" often. In this case, i guess i could say congratulations, but really you wasted your time taking this test...actually this test is a waste of time for everyone. The second option is a little rarer. You must be someone that knows a lot about either mechanics or racing, but jack about the other subject....or you're just guessing. Either way, congratulations....you're mediocre...but still not a ricer, for which you should be thankful

haha & I had to guess on a lot of those cause i dont know a lot about engines etc frown.gif (& im a girl biggrin.gif ), hey natalie what are your results?

CHUCHO: whats your %???

Congratulations. You are the real thing. Chances are you could tear down your engine and put it back together in a weekend. You know a decent amount about racing dynamics. The "FATHF" culture has been a bane to your existence since you've been in the game for years before that horrid movie was released. Auto-x, drag racing, track time, you know enough to not sound like an ass while talking about it, and you can probably hold your own on the track too. Race on, good citizen, for you are a true Racer.

What's the correct order?
Intake, Power, Compression, Exhaust
Power, Exhaust, Intake, Compression
Exhaust, Power, Intake, Compression
Intake, Compression, Exhaust, Power
this question doesn't even have the right answer
intake, compression, power, exhaust is what it ShOULD be, because the power comes from the combustion...

guys, guys, guys,

AVCS is subaru's variable valve timing thing which leaves VVL to be nissans by process of elimination

and the order is

power, exhaust, intake, compression

the only time i spent any money on looks was tint, which the quiz never asked about, and wheels, which i needed tires anyway and my hubcaps were the ugliest things ever.

so needless to say i put 99 cents into zipties for my bumper and $999.01 for turbo, lol

im also sure that AWD helped in the begining, plus knowing how to launch an awd car to prevent bogging and horrible shock to the drivetrain.

wheel spin? whats that?

lol

yeah, but there was a specific question about launching a WRX STI, now while many people say the STI tranny is unbreakable, i would still choose to launch it the way that a WRX should be launched to preserve the transmission.

rev to peak torque(or higher, if you want to have the turbo spool quicker) and quick slip. a clutch is cheaper than a subaru AWD tranny.

QUOTE(97sccelica @ Dec 9, 2004 - 9:31 PM)
and the order is

power, exhaust, intake, compression

huh? Hehe... I say it's intake, compression, power, exhaust... ;]

Umm... IMO, some of the questions are unfair to some people. For example, I doubt many people got the AWD launch correct simply because different people do different things. VVT, VTEC, VVL, AVCS... all different systems used to achieve almost the same results. VVL is like Vtec and changes cam lift/duration profiles. AVCS and VVT/VVT-i are the same and control cam timing (just intake in most cases). Different things. I think whoever did up that little survey should do some homework also. VVTL-i is Toyota's equilalent to VTEC and VVL, although Nissan's VVL is pretty rare in the US... actually... pretty rare period.

APC Whore
You scored 12%
You are dangerously close to falling to the dark side. Chances are you have a couple things like a Short Ram intake or maybe some lightened pulleys. Snd you've probably hung around some genuine tuners, so you know the lingo. But most of you money has likely gone into a large erector set wing, or body kit....but at least it's painted. You are a quasi ricer.

WOOOOOO! IM A RICER! LOL biggrin.gif

is this soemthing to proud of???? lol

Gran Turismorator
You scored -9%

You're at the drag strip in your WRX STi. What's your launch technique?
Rev to max torqueRPM, drop the clutch, wheelspin
Bounce off rev-limiter, drop the clutch, spin
Rev to max torque RPM, quick slip, chirp tires

I had no idea but i chose the third one just because it said "chirp tires" and the others sayd wheelspin and spin. tongue.gif Stupid quiz though...

And what did everyone put on this question?
What does this phrase mean to you? "Warning: Danger to Manifold!"
Oh ****, my floor panel is gonna fall out
Warning: that's a bull**** warning
I hate that movie
ummm...

QUOTE
The Non-Racer
You scored -6%
One of two things happened if you received this rating. Either you know absolutely nothing about tuner culture and chose "no idea" often. In this case, i guess i could say congratulations, but really you wasted your time taking this test...actually this test is a waste of time for everyone. The second option is a little rarer. You must be someone that knows a lot about either mechanics or racing, but jack about the other subject....or you're just guessing. Either way, congratulations....you're mediocre...but still not a ricer, for which you should be thankful

i'm the 2nd option, which is more rare. tongue.gif.
