Thats exaclly the kind of pic i was looking for. Drilling my holes now, i wanted to see if mine line up like everyone elses. One hole is reall close to the side, just like yours. Also i didnt know if the bar was to the front or the rear, i assumed the front.
Thank You, did anyone put the factory v-shape one back on? I think im gonna. |

My Celica didn't come with the factotry V one. I did pick one up and try to put them both on. They both don't fit together on the strut top. It is one or the other.

nope. impossible unless you modify the stock one to make it sit flat. Which means cut or grind a lot of metal. That is if you want to put the neon one on top which would be your only option because the neon bar is in the way for the actual V bar. as pictured
![]() got a stock one ? look at it and look at Hanyo's pic. then maybe, just maybe, you might understand... if you don't have the stock one or seen it detailed enough to know what I'm talking about, then why talk... yes the hood closes fine. why was that a problem with some people. well i figured the hood wouldnt be a problem cause i have a hood scoop that i cut out, and also the support brackets up under the hood, are cute for the scoop, and that factory padding is also removed. Its gonna be replaced with brown bead under hood.
Ill post pics first thing in the morning |

i guess its a matter on where u placed the bar, towards the front or back, and also where u driled your holes. I place mine bar towards the front, and kept the first hole by the bar in place, then drilled the other two.

Ok so a 94-99 neon front strut brace fits our cars after you drill new holes. So what about the rear? Does anyone know of any strut bar that will fit for the rear? Japanparts.com is the only place i have found ANY strut bars for our cars and they are like $150 a piece

I have the dodge neon front. I bought it from ebay. It's the Megan Racing one, you can find it on their site too. I also have the GT-4 rear brace. I think it did more good than the front one. I'll see if I can get ahold of a camera for pics.

Hood doesn't clear really well with the megan racing brace. I had to take the fireblanket off, and it still bumps up against it when I close it. And the stock bar fits back on prefectly after you install it.

Place on top, and mark, then move, then place back on top, and mark.. make sure you have it market perfect. Then Get a very nice drill, with a very nice bit. Place on block of wood, then drill. I ended up screwing up my rear because I didnt messure right. But my front neon one worked perfect, I didnt notice a dif, but what ever it was $25. |
