hey guy,

I had the same problem some weeks ago...itīs pretty difficult to pop off the side air vent at the passengers side because of those plastic clips which are supposed to snap in!

It took me about an hour to pop it off!

well, I think it would be easier to get it done, if you īd remove the glove box first...lie under the vent and you will see the clips!Try to lever it by using a screwdriver or something like that...perhaps you will need someone pulling it out while you are lying under the vent!;-)

Unfortunately, while pulling it out, the two plastic clips got broken!
But it doesnīt matter, if it brakes...it wonīt make any problems when you put it in again!

By the way, post some pics when you got it done! ;-)
Here is one of my interior!

Yeah, I had the same problem as well. I busted a couple of the clips taking it out but it really made no difference when putting it back in. It's still secure in there. I think the clips I busted were on the bottom, so all the other clips still hold it in good.

That's a nice red. I don't like bright stuff. Mine's dark green.

try sanding or maybe a paint thinner? i think if you sand it you should be able to paint right over it

the regular 3m should be fine....i just bought some more at wallmart for like 3 bucks......just make sure you get the right kind of grit size (lower grits are good if you are trying to completely wipe off paint and higher grits are good for finishing touches)

There's no reason to sand all the paint off the pieces. You just need to scuff up your parts with sandpaper and repaint over the existing paint and yes, then it's the same process as before. You should have all the pieces sanded in less than 30 minutes.

this is true....and if you are painting plastic there is a special paint called krylon fusion, its amasing no sanding or priming but there color selection is limitied......i used it on my xbox without priming or sanding......also try to find special adhesive sprys (ex: bulldog) they have them in the wall mart auto section and it helped me when i tryed to get the paint on the plastic......just a thought

the thing that worries me about painting mine, is that most of the interriors ive seen end up having that "painted" look to them. i think i may take my pieces off and take them to a pro or go with a dash kit.
