117,000 miles isn't that many for a 3S-GE, which the SS-II has. The 3S-GE is a great engine with solid components and lots of potential.
Make sure the tranny shifts smooth without any grinding. The synchros on Toyota trannies often wear out, causing hard shifts and grinding. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

So you mean my car is an SSII??? cool
I've got the 3S-GE engine that came 1994, with 175hp. I love the car, nice engine but you gotta push it up to 4500rpm before things starts to move. |

You won't regret it GunnerS Mine's the SSII and has a slightly higher spec than the UK GT models (eg. slightly more power, climate control). As you're in the UK, you could get a good deal of info and, perhaps, join in with some meets at www.celica-club.co.uk This post has been edited by Slam: Dec 31, 2004 - 8:58 AM |
