Resident Evil 4, Bought a gamecube today just for this Options

no gamecube heh I just have my arcade game (virtua fighter 2) and the graphics show their age now but the resolution on it beats the pants of any console. How is resident evil these days though? I remember the controls being akward up to nemisis

This is so much bettr than any other resident evil game I've ever played. No longer do you hunt for bullets- you have them in abundence. No longer is the control scheme awkward- (ok, why the **** can't I sidestep still?) everything is fluid and smooth..

People are always surprised by the graphics capabilites of the Gamecube. Since most of the games made for it are simple, cell shaded or animation type games, they think it cant handle more intensive things, but dont let its tiny size fool you!!

Dont worry Sean, keep it around for when the new Zelda comes out!!

And even if it is, it's the games that make the differance
perfect example is forza and gt4... ps2 is inferior system wise, but gt4 has much better graphics

and I've wanted a GC for a while, not just for resident evil. Rogue Squadrens, the new mario party, smash brothers, mario kart, metroid prime, fzero are all decent games. Enough games to justify the purchase.

GC isn't at the bottom as far as system specs are concerned- I believe that is in fact the PS2 (it was released first wasn't it?) However, the PS2 is more popular and as such it's abilities are more developed.

I knew the graphics in the GC are capable of being wow- but the graphics in resident evil are beyond wow- they're mind bending (and for the last 6 months, I've been on mostly xbox)

and forza's graphics on the Xbox are just as good as GT4s- gameplay wise? meh, we'll see.

As far as xbox being top dog- here in the US maybe. Everyone else? no; not one tiny little bit. Xbox sells less than 5000 in hardware a month in Japan.

Have you played Forza? have you played GT4? I've had the chance to play both, and while GT4 may look impressive in screen shots, I think you'll find it feels "flat" in gameplay

I don't see how it could be the opposite opinion, since GT4 makes no secret how it achieves its effects and neither does Forzo. Forza's handling of textures is done by 3d texturing; Gt4 is done by perspective.

RE4 will be out for PS2.... Capcom sold out.... damn bastards..... did the same thing with Viewtiful Joe. It wont be out on the PS2 until the end of the year though... so don't feel bad about the purchase. There are tons of good games on the Gamecube btw.

capcom is doinh what rockstar did with gta3. When their contract runs out with nintendo it will be ported to ps2 (gonna be a year though)

i played teh forza demo and wasnt very happy with it, i didnt like how the cars drove, i do like how you can buy body kits and custom paint jobs tho for your cars.
