I want to start using e-bay mainly for buying stuff...
I don't have a credit card so I decided to open a paypal account, and did so. The paypal is connected to one of my bank accounts, and withdraws money from there whenever I make a purchase on e-bay

Now I've noticed that to bid on e-bay you have to sign up to e-bay, and you have to provide them with a credit card number for identification purposes!! Is there any way around this? Can I jsut sign up to ebay without a credit card??

Help, I'm new at all this stuff frown.gif

I don't know how it would work if they are trying to verify you, but there is a valid test visa number you can use. You can't purchase anything off it, but it sounds like it would work for what you want. I don't know if I should throw it out on here, so you can email me if you want it.

ebay is fine, it is paypal that sucks
my mother used to sell tons through ebay but after a certain limit (2k) paypal *has* to have direct access to your bank account which sounds fine. However they do make mistakes and when they do it is an utter b*tch to get your money back so we don't use it.
