Exactly that, mechanical Engineering at SIU. First it was Automotive Technology but they never sent me anything so i'm guessing that means that i didn't get accepted in that either.

engineering. or, there's a college here in middle TN, and it's great. it's called Nashville Auto-Diesel College. it's very nice for getting into the car industry. you can go for a couple years, and then go back for the high-performance degree, etc. i'm sure they have them elsewhere, but that's the only one i know of.

also, you can take design and drafting there, if you can find openings, etc. iono. smile.gif.

Wouldnt that be programing? Programing is involved in software design as well as standerd programs also including games. Thats what two of my friends are doing, very umm boring .. but they enjoy it.

Im working on Architecture, Im on my third year. I working on my associates first, then will try and transfer into Catholis U, just because its one of the best architecture programs in the U.S. Im also thinking about getting an associates in graphic design. I like the school im in to much to leave hahah, kinda sad.

I dont know what you mean exactly by failed to get into your major? Did you fail to get into the university with the engineering department or after 2 years of undergrad classes you failed to get accepted for the last two years into the engineering program?

if you failed to get into your engineering department you can always go to another university where there are no requirements to get into a department (ya not as good or rigorous but your learning still) or you could take classes as non matriculated basis (engineering courses taken do not count to towards graduation) if you do well in your courses then the dean can decide to accept you and use your engineering credits towards graduation, alot of students do it this way.

I think you have to decide between your ideals/dreams and whats practical/economics.

There has never been a huge demand for Mechanical Engineers, its one of those mature fields, were job hiring goes in cycles as older engineers retire.

Maybe you should choose something like microbiology(genetics) or Software Engineering.

I think ITT was adding that program to schools in areas where the demand is there. I dont know if they added it to the school I graduated from yet.
