Alot of those cars u mentioned I dont think can be used in traffic stops and what not. I mean Civic? Mercedes? Police dont have it in their budget to use a Mercedes and afford to wreck it, a Viper neither. Must be quite the wealthy police force.

Or they were seized in drug busts. Happens here all the time. That's were our D.A.R.E. corvette came from.

I heard over summer there where a couple undercover cops were going around in an import car getting teens to street race. then arrest them for it.

I can't be positive, but I believe that concealed police cars are illegal in Ohio. I've heard of a Honda Civic who tries to get people to race him. But I'm not certain on all the specifics.

It is illigal for a cop not to present themselfes to you befor its too late, that means that if they hind behind a bush and catch you speeding, take it to court, it was illigal. you will get off on thoes grounds.

therefor I do belive that undercover cop cars are not allowed to give a ticket, and I think there mostly used for other things anyway, or are just not clasified as undercover to get around the law, but you can fight it.

edit: ALWAYS GO TO COURT

thats the biggest BS i've ever heard of...all they have to do is show you their badge once they pull you over. and the car has to have the signal lights on it to be legal but they can hide/drive whatever long as they have the lights and badge to prove they are a cop oh and has to be on duty...and thats the primary reason they have undercover cars is for sting ops and traffic lol come on thats just common sense...
and no they dont' call it undercover they never have its called "unmarked police vehical" and they can do what ever they want as long as they do it in their jurisdiction

yea fairfax is hard as crazy to get away with stuff
there are cops practically every block you go for the most part

I don't think this applies always. One of my stop sign violations was from an unmarked. I went to court over it and they laughed. Maybe some states this law applies and some it doesnt?
