I'd like if there was some kind of kit for the underside of the car to reduce drag. I was thinking of cutting holes in my back bumper, but I think that would be pretty dumb looking. I know the Skyline GT-Rs have have a full underbody kit thing, at least I'm pretty sure. The one I seen could have been aftermarket.

well... what i think is.. the looks of the trunk bar for the integra compared to the C-ONE, the C-ONE's alot better.. looks wise... but still i dunno what difference it's gonna make installing a bar there.... confused.gif

I was thinking to produce somthing like this for a celica like a half year ago, but i was not sure there will be interest in them..

I have premade mold for the rear under panle with spliters, and front one is not finished still... I was gonna produce them from CF of Kelvar, so they would be hard and light...

Well, if there will be any interest, i will continue on this project..

ZAPT makes an underpanel for a ST20#, and it covers more than the C-ONE does.

I believe it cost 250 - 300 US.

Or Coling plate from CF or Kevlar 60$ shipped?

If you guys see any interest in these, let me know or start a GB or interest tread and i will see what i can do... These of corse wount be C-one parts, they would be produced by my company... but still smile.gif

And what's this about CF door sills? That'd be sweet.

the under pannel is a sump protector... it also works to lower drag on the car by allowing air to pass through and not get caught up in the engine...

two_OH_five on gt4dc is in the process of designing and manufacturing a limited run of his own design. It will be better than the C-one underpanel IMO as it will cover more of the underneathe of the car, replacing more of the plastic. Here is the thread: http://gt4dc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2403

If you are interested in buying, please post onto the end of that thread to let him know.

Doggy, I am sure there are many people here (myself included) who are and would be interested in a underpanel. The question I have is, with the carbon fibre would the structure and integrity be just as reliable? Or would i have to worry about rocks and bumps cracking/chipping/breaking it?

What about aluminum sheet, do you think it would hold as well as sheet metal?

*Also* On your 3s do you have a 3" DP? is this why you think it may or may not work? Because i am in the middle of a swap and i have a 3" DP, so if it wont work for you, i doubt it would for me.

unless your rallying your car, or at least driving it on dirt, this is a usless mod.
and doing it out of thin sheet metal is kind of pointless, its made to protect the underbody, not for looks.

putting under body panels on the car smooths out the airflow and increases its velocity under the vehicle.
that creates a lower pressure zone...which results in more downforce...although that panel would probably prove negligible in that cause

yea, dan, i understand that a properly constructed underbody panel would do that, but thats kinda my point.
those kind of panels take very specific testing to get right, i would think this kind of thing would be 100% looks.
it has the shape of a skid plate, hence my post.

Trunk Bar for hatch
ST-20

GT-4

Does anyone know if the gt4 and st-20 floor bar are cross compatible? In the pic it seems the holes for the gt4 and st20 are positioned differently. As you see in the gt4 both of the 4 floor holes are futher away from the rear end. While the st20 they are closer to the rear end. And 2 closest the the rear end are half coverred by the trim.

They look cross compatible, but if anyone can confirm that would be great. And any reviews?

And also if the c-one 3point front strut bar is cross compatible with st20 and gt4. And i heard there are sometimes slight differences between gt4 and st20 front strut bars on different makes as the gt4 sits higher and hits the st20 hood. As part numbers for st20 and gt4 3point strut bars are different.

i was considering buying the front underpanel and having somebody else make a rear diffuser for the back of the car. this would creat a difference in underbody air flow.

dayum this thread was made years ago.

Whatthe, there is only one 3 point that is made by c-one. it was made specifecally for the gt-4 to clear the top mounted intercooler, as you can see in that pic, the 3 point is fitted on a st202 chassis.

i also believe the 2 point strut brace by c-one will fit the gt-4 becuase the middle is raised to accomodate the top intercooler

But on the c-one website its got FT5360-ST202 part number for the st20 and FT5360-ST212 part number for the gt4. As you said the 3 point is fitted to a st202. That would mean it would fit under a st202 bonnet...right? And not hit the bonnet when closed?

Not true. The J speed sits about 1 cm lower then the C-One.
We compared the j speed, C one and cusco braces (thanks to the help of OC members) and found that the c one 3 point for the GT4 doesnt sit too well on a ST20x. Reason being is that the hood presses against the bar when you close it. You can shut the hood but it puts alot of pressure on the hood and you get scraping.
And popping the hood with a loud bang eventually warping your stock NA hood.
Same goes to the Cusco 2 pont and 3 point for the GT4 GT4.
Some people have used the cusco or C one GT4 on the ST20x by bending the bars a little. However this causes the two top mounts to distance apart and effects the cambers of the car.
We made these comparisons and kept it in mind when we designed the RTP 3 point strut brace.

Just want to make sure will a st202 c-one 3pt fit under a st204? As in will it clear the engine and other object from a 5sfe that a 3sge may not have?

http://www.nengun.com/c-one/lower-arm-bush-pillow-ball-front

And how about the c-one timing belt. Will it work for the 4th gen 3sge. I believe it will becuase it says it can be used for both 3rd gen 3sge and 4th gen 3sge but i want to know if anybody can back this up.

yes there are difference between the belts (one says 'vvti only car' & 'vvti no car')
http://www.c-one.co.jp/C-ONEPARTS/engine_belt.html

one will fit 3rd gen 3sge & 3sgte. - FE1356-ST200
this one will fit the BEAMS (redtop and blacktop). - FE1356-SXE10
