Hi guys,

I was wondering if anybody knows if the 3rd gen 3sgte from an mr2 flywheel will fit on a 2nd gen 3sgte flywheel?
is there any difference between an 3rd gen flywheel from an st205 and sw20 w/ 3rd gen 3sgte?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

I dont know the answer but I suspect it is yes. They use the same clutch and the tranny's are interchangeable.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Erm, 3rd gen is a dual mass type flywheel, so it might be lighter. It also means that you do *not* skim it, as a flywheel coming apart @ 6000rpm is bad for your gearbox.

I'm pulling mine out next week and replacing it with a HKS lighweight effort.
