Leather Interior, is it out there? Options

did the 97's come with leather interior or am i gunna have to find it custom or something? i'd like to do the interior in black leather, i'm looking for 7th gen front seats in leather, and then was wondering about the back seats... anyone know?

if there wasn't ever any made stock for the celi, anyone know a place i can look to get it done?

They came in leather as an option, i would say its probley kinda rare to find one. I knwo the guy i got mine from, had two celica verts with black leather. I think the only ones i have seen in persom have been verts with black leather. Also they do make seat covers made for the celica. I cant remember the site or how much off hand.

If you want leather go to a shop and have them leather cover your seats. Its not that hard just a bit pricey depending on where you go.

Leather interiors can be nice but a hassle to take care of. (of course, my boss only buys fine eropean leather. has a nice grain to it!) I'd do the leather change for you but I see you're in canada. Long trip for something that can be done local.

i think if i do get it, i'll get all black though.. hopefully i find some 7th gen seats to throw in there, and then do something for the back seats..

You can probably find some very nice used 7th gen seats on ebay for a fair price. Or if you have money I think you can order them straight from the company the company.

I jujst looked at the shipping cost and it cost 130 to ship domestic and 190 to ship international. There are others on ebay also.

If it doesn't work. I went to yahoo search and typed in Toyota Celica Seats. It was the first site that leads to ebay. Then search there.

i have stock leather seats.. they are alittle old.. but are really comfortable.
oh.. btw.. ignore the Type R ebrake cover.. i've removed that cause i found out it was ricey.

I have some front leather seats I pulled out from my 95 celica coupe. I put in those jdm seats off of ebay (cheapo but they look nice).

The leather condition of the seats is good. Its got some cracks and on the driver seat the stitching is coming a part a little. It really isnt that bad (the damage) I could take pics if you want.

I would sell them to you for a reasonable price and only charge you what shipping would cost period (not like ebay where its cheap as fazuck then the shipping is rapage).

Oh yeah also forgot to mention you would need to find two seatbelt buckles...I took the buckle off both seats and put them on the jdm ones because harnesses are illegal here in Cali.

You missed out, because I had a very expensive set of leather i sold for dirt cheap on ebay around christmast time. My car came in black leather, even though its hot during the summer, I like it. You can find companys that sell leather kits for the celica, do a search because I have seen them(links) on this site

nice madmods.. well i picked the car up on thursday but some bull**** happened and i can't get my plates till monday, so i haven't been able to drive it much but the seats are growing on me a bit. i still think i want the sportier feel of the 7th gen seats though. my rents own a 7th gen so i've been dirving it for the past 3 yrs and i love them. i have a couple hookups for reupholstering place so i might just end up buying some cloth 7th gen seats and getting everything reupholstered...

did you find the leather annoying in the convertible in the summer?? im gunna be buying my ass off all summer, but i think its gunna look pimp.. lol

Check out this guy's interior. He hasn't been active in a while, but I couldn't forget it. He said he just had an upholstery shop do it, and the dude just decided to do the Toyota emblem on the headrests. I think they're the coolest...
