Ok, i been getting into the pic thing with my friends taking pics of our cars at night.
he has LEDs under his car, i don't but i want the pics to show up better. i have an Olympus C-700. i don't really know how to get into really using it. i just turn it on and tak a pic. i heard adjusting the shutterspeed can help with taking pics at night? i don't know if i have that on mine cause i lost all the info. i moved out, moved back in and somhow lost it in the process. on my dial i have A/S/M i played around with it a lil tonight taking pics of my R/C Celica with underbodies. i got some bright pics in a dark room, but they r kinda fuzzy/ is there a site i can get on and learn more about these features? How to use them? When to use them? Here r a couple pics i took. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v628/Pha...li/07de40bc.jpg this one didn't turn out too bad -------------------- Jared Harwell

1. Use a tripod
2. Use Shutter Speed Priority Mode; its on the Olympus C700 but doesn't give you nearly enough time. I think it maxes out at 2 seconds. To get really clear awesome looking night shots with proper exposure, it should be around 5. |

For the shutter time, I'd factor in how much light is already in the area. If there's a lot of street light around, I'd think with 5 seconds, there'd be a lot of light bleeding in the picture. |

Cody, that'd be in full manual mode, I told him to go shutter speed priori; the camera will automatically iris down if there's too much light.
