Today, after almost a year of looking, I finally found a white 1993 Toyota Supra N/A with 123k miles biggrin.gif It's EXACTLY what I wanted... targa top, spoiler, 17" chrome rims and completely stock! only thing i don't like is it's an automatic but it only being $12k made it worth it smile.gif The interior is very clean and the exterior is even cleaner. smile.gif I couldn't be more excited biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Here are some pics i just took, sorry for the blurriness.. any comments are welcome. smile.gif

Hmm...it's got the style. It's a sweet car, no doubt. Auto though, no turbo. It's still a sexy machine, and you got a targa! Good find.

hahahaha tongue.gif

Stranger, yea i didnt get the joke tongue.gif but it runs soo nice and the transmission shifts so smooth... the only thing wrong with it is the targa top is bent upward in the two back corners because about 2 weeks ago the previous owner was driving and he didnt tighten down the bolts good enough so it flew off while he was driving... other than that its perfect smile.gif

So basically, for 6 extra grand, you have rwd and a targa top and minor body changes

Supra aren't that great in handling. Compared to our cars, yeah, their nice. But compared to their competitors, the rx7 and 300zx do better.

Sorry, it's pretty bad a waste of cash imo.

id much rather have a supra than a celica , even for 6k more.

its not always bout the speed looks and handling

its about having something you know most ppl dont.

i'd want it if it didn't come me the rich-boy stereotype
and the fact that many people will want it, and the domestic people will see it being an auto, claim rice and do whatever they feel is "necessary"

Having something most people don't? Well you could achieve that w. a 300zx or FD. Hell, a Yugo would do that.

Jelousy? No. If I got a Supra it'd be a 6spd and a 2jz. If you haven't noticed, I've talked about getting a bike so obviously that's around 5 grand. If I sold my celica, I could afford an n/a supra as well. But something bout owning an n/a supra that sucks in the snow and kills insurance isn't apealling

Supra can run up to 800whp fyi. The FD doesn't need rebuilt that often. And parking lot attention is opinion

I agree with Highoctane, because as much as an rx-7 is sexy, the supra will get more attention, especially around toronto, ive seen at least 7 rx's with my friends and 1 supra and the supra got more screams then the rx's..... but at the same time slowcelica, you make a point about the supra's down points, basically the cars gots it highs and lows.......

Well first... having the targa top is worth the 6k by itself smile.gif but the supra is also more luxurious than the celica too especially the way it drives... and the supra handles just as well, if not better than the celica...

and to answer hioctanes question, i found the car off craigslist.org. i got really lucky i guess because the seller didnt put an ad anywhere except that site. smile.gif

I def think its a nice car. I dont think i would be all that crazy about it being n/a and auto.. I could only deal with on or the other. Theres an n/a auto supra around my block, and the kid/guy drives it like a bat out of hell, but it dosnt seem that fast. iv seen numbers where the n/a autos only run 16 is this true? Other wise its very sexy an a nice rare car.

Also I would loose the wing, there sooo sexy wingless

Targa top worth 6k? Well, if it makes you happy, rock on. Don't get me wrong, targa is great. But Del Sol's have targas and if got the dohc vtec edition, I don't think it's be too much slower then the n/a supra
