Well, since my car goes in the shop next week for the paint, i was thinking about doing a taillight conversion.
I was gonna do Supra tails, but thats been done too much. I was thinking about the newer Solara taillights? Black Chrome Alteeza? Or Carbon Fiber Alteeza? Or Stock? Anybody know if the body lines r the same?? This post has been edited by Phat_99CeliGT: Apr 5, 2003 - 2:18 PM -------------------- Jared Harwell

In my opinion, the carbon fiber altezza is hot looking. The others would look nice if the clear light didn't look like a gawdy diamond. The carbon fiber helps tone down the sections of the clear light, in my opinion. The black chrome doesn't.

I might just have to get the CF ones. Those will be the only carbon fiber on the car, but oh well.
Anyone know how close those r to the stock lines?? As in, will they match up right? -------------------- Jared Harwell

Just from looking at them, they don't look they'll match up to the existing place for the tail-lights very well, but those lights are sweet and I think it'd be an awesome conversion! I'd go for the carbon fiber Solara tails, and if you ever get sick of them, you can smoke them a bit or paint them all red.

Well, im getting my full strip and repaint for $1500. Thats door jams, and as far in the engine bay possible w/o taking the engine out, shaving badges and fixing all the dings and dents. Im gonna ask how much more on the conversion, prolly under $500. -------------------- Jared Harwell
