I talked to SFP about this on my t3/t4. I thought that 1/8" braided line will be too thin. They told me that with 1/4" line, it gets too much oil pressure, but 1/8" line is perfect. However they didn't give me a figure on what the oil pressures are with each. Could there be another reason you are seeing smoke from your exhaust. Brand new exhausts will smoke for a couple months. I see 70psi at the top of my head(at WOT), and from there the oil line is T'ed off to the turbo. At idle I only see about 15psi, which is fine, but sometimes drops when the motor is very hot. This worries me a bit b/c it's almost too low.

i think they normally start to leak around 75psi

get a couple different size restrictors and try them out until you find one that stops the leaking.

Also...

If you have excessive crankcase pressure, more oil will push into your turbo, which will slowly coke the seals, and eventually the oil seals deteriorate.

To test this, 'Bryon' on mr2oc forums slipped a hose onto his dipstick opening and monitored the pressure with a gauge. Your engine and turbo will operate best with a slight vacuum on the crankcase, therefore if you have a +psi readings off your oil pan gauge, you have excessive blow by.

This is my understanding after extensive talks with Byron and Presure2.
