Well, after waiting many many years i finally have the car ive always wanted. Its a 95 Supra N/A w/ Targa Top (turba was WAY more expensive on insurance so just desided to add it later wink.gif ) it has quite a bit of miles on it, 120k to be exact.

Ive only had it for about 3 weeks but have been hard at work trying to get it looking nice. The outside of the car was fine, but the inside was horable. I had the much hated Tan interior which i took care of first. I went with a black/carbon fiber insert vinyl on the seats. Heres a few pics of the car

user posted image user posted image user posted image user posted image user posted image

Also had then make a custom trunk fo my system. There is just no room in a Supra for a regular sub box tongue.gif

user posted image

The edges of the plexiglass around the amps light up red. Looks real clean. Ill take pics of it tonight if anyone is interested.

Let me know what you think smile.gif

Single turbo for my insurance was 300 more a month. TT was an extra 100 added on to that. So i figured i would save the 300-400 bux a month and get a better turbo kit.

The color is not stock the guy repainted it sliver (dont know the actal name) Whoever painted it did a crappy job and im getting it repainted in 2 weeks. I HAVE to have a black car!

Thanks man. The trunk cost me 900 but he installed everything. The head unit, the EQ, the amps, subs, speakers, wired, etc. He was a cool guym hooked it up real sic.

In surance now is only 40 bux more than what i was paying for my celica!! about 800/year

Where in SoCal do you live? I just bought a 93 supra n/a about a month ago and I ran into the same problem with the sub box. Now i have to sell the one that i bought... could you get more pics of your enclosure? and do you know how much it would cost to buy a custom enclosure for 1 12"? Thanks. smile.gif

BTW here's my car. smile.gif

Nice looking supra, very clean. Does the targa still fit in the back with that set up or do you have to leave that at home now?

The only requirement i gave them when doing the trunk was that the Targa had to fit in the back. fits back there just fine with no problems, no shaking, and no scraching.

They did a awesome job.

Yeap the same place. Its called Kreative. if you search online for 'Kreative Interior' you'll see a whole wide range of cars they have done. Definately worth the price IMO.

Ya, theres nothing compared to a black car. Other colors will looks good but black is just to damn irresistable.

Im not a fan of the removed wings. I think it make the car look so much better. The wing is like a trademark for the supra. Kinda like the taillights.

No doubt smile.gif

Heres whats next for the car....

1 - Clifford Responder alarm system (the one is the car now is just a basic alarm)
2 - Paint Job in all balck (aparently this is going to take 2 months the guy told me)
3 - Volk SF Winning Rims (takes 2 months to get from japan so ill order them when i start the paint)
4 - TRD short Shifter

that covers the next 2 months of work for this car. There will be alot more stuff down the line like turbo kits, etc. But this should keep me busy for the time being smile.gif

2 months for a paint job is just being lazy. My dad owns a paint shop, and I know these things. Unless he's doing a....well it really doesn't matter because there's no way he's doing a restore job on your car. Color change jobs do take longer than other paint jobs. And they're usually a lot more expencive. But 2 months is retarded.

EDIT: I just looked at your info, and you're already black. Seriously, what is the deal with this painter? 2 months for a car that's already black?

I know 2 months is a long time but there are reasons for the delay.

First off, the car used to be red and the guy who owned the car before me didnt get a good paint job done to begin with. Its hard to see in the pics but there are alot of small rock chips that are red now because the other paint came right off. It doesnt look like they removed much of anything (hood, doors, trunk, etc) when they painted it the first time around, you can see red in almost every craxk of the car if you really look.. This guy i am taking it to removes almost EVERYTHING off the car and he also has to take off 2 layers of paint now instead of the usual 1. He is also going to be removing any dings anywhere on the car as well.

Secondly its a hook up. the paint isnt costing me a penny. When you get hooked up like this things tend to get a little lenthly, which i dont mind cause he did my brother's accord and it came out awesome.
