So My friend had a bbq. Must have been 20-30 heads together. We usually go mountain driving at a place called Metcaff St every sunday around 5PM. We first park on the side of the road on San Felipe Rd., and wish eachother luck and drive safe. A guys' radiator blows out in his 240. O well, we decide he'll take it easy. We take off, 10 mins later, a homeboy in a GTI behind me spins out from a dip on a turn. Luckily he stayed on the road but did a full 360. We take a stop in front of Metcaff. We take off to Metcaff. Now Metcaff consists of windy turns, couple straightaways, S-turns, then Hairpins. While we were on the S-turns, my close homeboi lost control on a turn in his 91 civic hatch. I only saw a cloud of smoke on the edge of the cliff and everybody in front of me stopping. I get out quicky and look down the 200+ ft cliff. I see its my friends car down there. Im the first to go down there to see if hes ok. He's already out of the car, but another homeboy was still inside kind of stuck. His arm was numb and had trouble getting out. Another 2 friends came down to help. The 2 got out of the car and going back up the steep hill was a workout for all of us. Everyone drove down cause cops & ambulance were on the way. I ended up getting 18+ splinters in my hand which I still cant get out right now. My homeboy went to the hospital and got 3 staples in his head. He lives today to say he survived flying off a 200 ft. cliff in a honda.

Oh wow I'm glad to hear that you all are ok. That first 360 and the radiator blown should have been signs that this wasn't suppose to happen. But nobody on here can say that they've never done something knowing it's probably not the best idea. I'm just glad to see you came out on top of it.

glad to see everyone's ok.....

doing canyon runs are always dangerous. I've had a few "close" calls as well. Not nearly driving off a cliff though. Hope you and all your friends get better and be careful next time out. Ur friend's are very fortunate

ya... i think he was going probably about 35+- mph in a 25 zone. The cliff he fell off wasn't even a sharp turn..he just lost traction on gravel or something.

fwd owns you tongue.gif

just kidding, driving hard is fun, aslong as you're in control and safe. Your friend pushed it too hard and suffered the consequences. Hopefully next time he'll be more precautious and know his limit.
