i can beat a woman with a baby stroller, by about a car length in the qm
smoked the b*tch off the line with my nawz
all i did was ask her "what's the retail on one of those?"
to which she responded "more than you can afford pal, fisher price"

If you're racing a car without an engine...... you'd still lose.

Hmmm a fodder report, well here goes.

1 Milkfloat
2 Tandem
3 Shopping cart (minus shopping)
4 Soapbox/gocart
5 Chav on a skateboard (minus cap)
6 lame dog. (beat me on the rerun)

More seriously

1 Porsche Boxter (hard work)
2 Impreza (any version)
3 BMW`s (most of em, bar the newer M3/5`s)
4 Evo`s up to about version 4, (never raced any newer)
5 Mitsubishi FTO`s (easy prey)
6 Audi TT`s (any)
7 Nssan 180/200`s (close)
8 New Mustang (only American car I have ever raced, know nothing about them what so ever?????)
9 Focus RS (easy)
10 Astra turbo (no worries)
11 Audi V6 A4 (harder work than you`d think)

the list could go on and would probably bore you all to death.

5SFE is good for a few in stock trim, like the Civic EX it will smoke until 120, the Eclipse GS/RS and all of it's relatives, and Jetta GLs. The 7A has trouble with US Lancers, that 120HP seems like too much for it. Also remember benchline racing is good but it all comes down to the exact car and driver, I might be able to smoke a Civic but the guy with the 5S down the street might get his a** handed to him by a moped so benching is all we can go off of to determine where our cars stand. If we benchline our cars stand very well with others.

While we are talking about the Supra.. A Supra TT 98 in norway costs about 60 000$ (US). The car itself is like 20-25 000$, and the remaining 35-40 000$ is pure taxes smile.gif That's why we only have 1 of these babies in Norway as far as I know (98 that is. We do have some 85-92-ish Supras).

The only 98 Supra TT in Norway (known today) is owned by my mechanic and imported directly from Japan. The same guy also own 3 Nissan Skyline R33s and a Toyota Corolla AE86 (Trueno), a rather new WRX STi and about 3 Nissan 240SXs.

The one with the most power (Supra is still stock) is one of the Skylines with a whopping 780 whp.

He is looking for an Evo VIII at the moment smile.gif

PS: some of these cars are not street legal and are not registered as road cars!

Dont worry bro, ive anialated a couple of H22 civics... and one or two STI's

My List: 350z, G35, Turboed RX7, Neon Srt4, Evo 8, Eclipse GST, Turboed Prelude, Sentra SER,Turboed Cavalier, Eagle Talon TSI, and all kinds of light and turboed Civics :b16,h22,gsr etc.... supercharged mustang gt, turboed prodege, 93 supra,
turboed ford escort

Iam trying to add the corvette ls1/ls6, camarao LS1/lt1 , eagle/eclipse GSX, celica gt-4, Mustang cobra, 94+ supra (any), mr2 turbo, and Pontiac GTP (we got beef)

Look people... if you wanna win races cheap... just buy a nice 300-400 nitrous kit... single nozzle wet kit ... spray it into your intake... i recomend 75 shot and below... i really really reccomend this if you plan on doing a 3s swap.. it will get you used to the extra power , you can spray the engine till you blow it and then swap it...and you will have a nitrous kit for the 3s when its done...

Even a 25 shot would be a good investment... CAI cost about 150 and it does not garantee anything... a small wet shot (fuel and nitrous) gives you an extra boost at a decent price (price of exhaust and intake) ...

and the most important thing is coming out the hole... launch hard enough where the engine doesnt bog and weak enough where the wheels catch traction...

Mina

Here's a car that the 6th Gen. can beat, easternpiro1's car.lol. It's a 6th Gen too so I guess it doesn't count. Did you find out if that red Celica near your apt. was a 7A or 5S? I caught him like a 7A but he pulled from you pretty hard.

Matt you need help man come over to my garage and we can put a hamster wheel under the hood. I got a lawnmower that can pop a wheelie let's run 'em. biggrin.gif

nitro, if used correctly will not blow your engine... and $300 is not that bad, since everyone seems to be waisting thier money on CAI , and Exhaust... while intake and exhaust gives you 5hp: for the same amount of money a nitrous kit will give you 50hp+... if you have a wet kit... fuel and nitrous , you will be fine....its a very mild risk ... and your only spraying the engine when you race... i see civics running nitrous all day long... so iam hoping our toyota engines are better than thier pos of ****s... how much damage do you think a small 25 or 50 shot can do???

also : from my perspective... when you swap, your usually throwing away a high milage engine, so if you have the money to swap, before you do , just slap on a 75 shot+ , have some fun, and make use of the engine before you throw it away.

you guys seem to be very opean to adding a turbo to our engines, iam very sure a small nitrous shot will put way less stress on the motor than any turbo kit, and is also less expensive... and unlike turbos, nitrous will not **** up your gas milage, and is only on when you flip the switch to on

although i rarely race, I have never had a hard time taking 97ish civic vtechs, and I have taken a few 87ish supras but they must have not been turboed, if so I would have no chance. but its a close race non the less (I never get fully passed them untill they give up) the speeds get to high for comfort.

nitro, if used correctly will not blow your engine... and $300 is not that bad, since everyone seems to be waisting thier money on CAI , and Exhaust...  while intake and exhaust gives you 5hp: for the same amount of money a nitrous kit will give you 50hp+...

A decent exhaust will give you the improvement *all* the time.

I don't get nitrous. I want a fast road car, not a drag car.

your right there... however you can theoritcally have nitrous on all the time... most nitrous kit activate when your on full throtal...so you can have a nitrous kit on all the time and it will only come on when you floor it/ you need it...

Or you have a GT, Integra GSR has 142HP but only 127ft. lbs. weighs about 2800lbs. so it a GT would beat a GSR unless you're a sorry driver.

I am getting so confused in all the types of engines a Celica has.

US GT have less power then those in Europe right. Mines a stock 3S-GE 2.0 Liter between 177-180 HP. Only car i had problems with racing was a BMW 5 Series Alpina (4.0 V8 i believe:))

Yes, the US Celica didn't get as lucky we got the Camry and Corrola engines while everyone else got the good stuff. The US GT has 135HP and 145lbs. ft. so we got shafted. If we had the original motors then we could compare to RSX-S and Eclipse GS-T with the 3SGE and actually give the Evo and STi some competition with the 3SGTE.

I do stand corrected my good man it was the rest of the line I was looking at. The torque is still 128 lbs. ft. and at 6200RPM. The RPM is good holding it that high, but that's very little torque to be screaming that high, I still think it would be a close run 0-60 times for the GSR are little over 8 seconds and a 1994 Celica GT hatch came in at 8.4 so it would mostly be up to the driver.

The specs say that its 8.2 sec to reach 100 km.h (60 mph) But i guess there test drivers at the time could not shift correctly:)
