Yeah, thats good for a do it yourself job. I like the line on the sides.. its all like late 80's early 90's sports car-ish...haha--

But I think the front and rear bumpers could use some highlights.. like some red details or something. Or make them red with black details... I dunno, not a fan of the whole different color bumpers/sideskirts thing. The black roof looks good though with the red body!

well thanks to you all for the comliments and opinions and also ya gotta give me some credit on the windshield wiper deal i have to get it inspencted tomarrow so i took the old ones off and had to put new ones on. And yeah i wanted to use the blitz in a different way then others, for a show car you have to be unique so i tried to make it as unique as i could. i still have to wet sand he car and buff it to make the clear smooth but it sure will look nice come the 30th, my first show. And to those who asked about showing my car im already there, it is a show car but at the same time my daily driver......and i hope to make it to the pitt meet. wink.gif

it looks good overall. after that wet sand and waxing, it'll really shine. I'm not really feeling the hood painting you did, but other than that it's cool. New Oxford isn't really far from me, looked at an rx7 at a car dealership one time up there. But awesome on the DIY. Like I said it flows pretty well other than the dragon IMO.

EDIT: I really like the 2 tone w/ the roof, that's JDM yo. You wanna paint my car?? wink.gif

You know, I do like it actually. I don't like the wing but other than it's pretty slick. Needs lowered obviously, I really like the two tone part of the hatch on back, that looks great. Nice job really.

not bad

but personally I would not have painted the whole front in black. just the part that sticks out and slopes up toward the wheel well. then I would have added some carbon canards along it. also would of nixed the dragon, front grill, wing, and stripe across the side. finally some bigger rims, and coilovers/bags

but really, a pretty decent job. definetly not my style but I know you put a lot of work in it, so props to you

also any pictures from the rear? wondering whats doing back there

Very original. Although its not my style, I think it looks very good. If the skirts and bumper were red, I think it would be amazing.

I think it looks great. Nice job. When I saw the first teaser pics you posted I wasn't really feelin it. I think it looks great all together. I do agree with gh0st_d0g about the front bumper being red/black instead of all black though.

looks great, nice job.

Yes my windows are tinited they are a 25% tint on the rear and on the little side windows....i am getting my regular windows done the same and then having a sun strip put on this is going to be done within the week. I also have to lower my car again, right now it is a factory height beacuse of me painting it but now that the paint is done i can lower it. biggrin.gif

Agreed.

I give you MAD props for doing your car yourself. I am doing my own too, I have spent nearly TWO MONTHS sanding and working on everything and I am almost there.

The hood dragon would look a lot better IMO if it were black. The green and mix of colors on the dragon doesnt blend well with the black and red of the car.

AGAIN THOUGH, MAD PROPS!

yeah i big time see where you are coming from the only reason i decided to put a dragon on there is because of the celica dragon, that is basically the only thing that blends the car together, granted i thing instead of making the dragon green and such i should have added more black and red to it but the problem i had with that was i couldn't add to much red to the dragon because the backround of the dragon wa red and couldn't do too much black cause that would make it more of a shadow not a dragon......but yes i do agree that it does look alittle to out of place...thanks for the opinion though biggrin.gif

thank you dustin but i have a feeling that no matter what people are gonna put me and my car down, that is why i dont reallycare what other people think. I know that sounds mean but the way i see it is it's my car and i like it and the way it is , so what does it matter if someone else doesn't like it. It's not there car, it's mine and i think my opinion is all that truly matters.....don't get me wrong i like to hear other opinions but that doesn't maean if they don't like something im gonna go change it.

The roof versus body contrast is nice -- but I'll have to agree with the comments on the dragon. It's nice to see a salute to the Celica's heritage, but I find it a little jarring since there's no other green visible.

DIY paint jobs, when they're well done (anybody seen the Finnish Batman car?) always earn my respect.

BTW, what wheels are those? I've had my eye on set that are quite similar.

Volution advertises silver, gunmetal and white -- you painted your rims too? Nice job on keeping the rivets silver.
