I know they have a tool to take out the axle but can I use it to put the axle back in the tranny. I think the axle ring does not want to pop in so, if anyboby know a trick to put them in, I would be grateful. I have tried the SEARCH button. Thanx

Umm, I have taken my axles in three times and out twice since the beginning of April (and I'm waiting on a new one right now), and haven't used anything special.. just screwdrivers/breaker bar/crow or prybar.
To put it in just either push firmly or pry it in, maybe even give it a good whack... if you need more detail hit me on aim. -------------------- If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.

when putting an axel in, a good thing to do is ....make sure the little ring points down, then use a long flat head screwdriver, or a file (anything long and flat) and tap in each of the 3 grooves on the side of the axel. it should then go right in
