talk about a crazy idea but i also own a Talon TSi and it has turbo all-wheel drive combo and it is sorely missed, at least the all-wheel drive. How much you think it would cost to make my vertible all-wheel? That would be sweet and well worth it.

It's possible, of course impracticle, but yes possible, don't let anyone hold you down if you want to do it though and be ready to spend some cash.

it is possible, i actually know a person (well, i know a person who knows a person) who has it, i've seen the car before and its pretty cool. He has the 3s-gte swap and awd.

You'd be the first to do it, as far as we all know, if that gives you any indication.

It's diffenately possable. I think you have to get the awd drivetain an transmition from a 5th gen, and an GT-4 gas tank to clear. It would take some hit and misses. But I've seen other awd conversions done to cars. I don't see how the 6gc would be that much different.

I read about someone doing it a long time ago and he just bought the rear half of a cut st205 for 800 bucks. That would be the most pratical way to do the conversion, but I don't know if the vert chassis are any different than the hatch"s and if so how different

I didn't even know you could buy the other haff of a clip. That would be the best way to go about it. It'd probably cost about what a swap costs ya, maybe less. But there would be a good deal of work. I'd jump into it with pretty good confedince to a coupe/vert. Be prepared to do some custom work.

i say the AWD is not worth it. Its gonna cost about $4,000, might as well save the money and invest in a better car. But hey, if you love your celi that much then go ahead.

If the coupe/vert have a transmission tunnel then you need to fab a new trunk pan and seam weld the chassis for some cheap insurance, after that the chassis should be set.

They usually come with the car. You can get them from your dealer but its costly. they go on ebay from 99 to 300 bucks.

How are you going to make a hatchback into a vert, you lose that option when they decide which direction on the assembly line they go (coupe or hatch).

you can do just about anything when it comes to a car. it will prolly cost you maby say 5-7g? i dont know. i just think it might be easier cause, u can take it to a body shop and tell em u want a convt, and they make it. and since its already a gt-4 your set

Yeah it's possible to do it, if you take the hatch off the body they have the same shape, but you'll need to weld in a lower windshield mount and a boot support, not to mention all the other parts you'll require, such as trunk panels, and the seperator panel behind the seat, glass, molding, lid, and I think quarterpanels. Basically a rear clip from the coupe and a GT-Four and some really good welding skills. I of all people believe anything is possible, I want to do a RWD conversion, but were trying to find the simplest solution and that would be a totaled GT-Four and vert, since you don't have to go through all the red tape and cost of getting a GT-Four legalized a wrecked one will suffice.

IMO it doesn't look that good on the Celica, maybe because of the side glass, i've seen it done though.
