A couple years ago i told my dad(BIG Mustang man) that when the new 05 stangs came out and i found one i liked, i would sell the celica and get it.
I loved the concepts, but as u know, those change before production.
The only one i would own would be the Saleen mustang.

I found this one.

they were thinking that its a mustang, and that people who want mustangs almost always buy a mustang to go fast in a straight line.

live rear axel is also cheaper, especially when its a setup that is pulled from another car.

handling, yea, it pretty much sucks, compaired to my car, compaired to the previous mustangs(03-04 cobra excluded) it handles way better.

speed wise, im sure it sucks with the stock ECU, but my friends is a rocket with just a retune and intake.

I dont like it much (looks wise) it just does not look that great (cant really exsplain it) I saw a pic of a 2002 (ish) mustang with the new frunt end (convertion kit i guess) It looked hot, way better then that.

side note: I feel the same way about the new cobra, its to big and looks like crap.

I like the new S281 Extreme but who wouldn't like 500 hp, but yes the stock GT still bites when it comes to corners. I bet my brother that my Celica can outrun his Mustang on the Dragon, while he's still busy trying to turn around because that boat oversteered i'll be halfway down the road.

They're alright as long as you keep it in a straight line (I totalled one doing 100 around a curve, my Celica can push 120 around the same curve and still ask for more as I always say they handle like s*** on wheels), other than that you'll need a Saleen or Cobra.

Something you guys need to remember, is that when you own a Ford you get to know it so much better. You'll form a very special, intimate bond with your Mustang when you get to spend that much time working under it's hood. biggrin.gif

The 05's don't look to bad, but I still think the nicest looking thing Ford ever made was the 1967 Shelby GT500.

Speaking of which, if any of you haven't seen Gone in 60 Seconds, you need to go our RIGHT NOW, and get it. biggrin.gif

Yeah they show it on TNT like 3 times a day, i've had four (with '94 T-Bird SC parts, '91 5.0, '96 V6 vert, '99 GT) they're alright cars but still handle like dirt and you feel like you lose 50 horses when you drive the auto.
