Anyone Adopted? Options

Are you adopted? If so how old were you at adopted at and how old were you when u found out? How were you told?

Im adopted somewhat - not truly adopted but my real father (who has seen me probably twice which was when i was a month old) gave up his parental rights so he wouldnt have to have anything to do with my brother and i. My mom then later remarried and then my father now "adopted' my bro and i. Im so thankful to have the father i do!


So yeah mines not really an adoption but i cant remember what age i found out he wasnt my real dad but i know ive used that against him when we get in fights and it breaks his heart and luckily ive grown up a bit since the last time Ive done that and i wont use that against him.

I have a good friend who was adopted, like a real adoption from birth or w/e. And my girlfriends sister and her husband just adopted a baby.

I was adpoted at 2 weeks old. I dont remember how i was told i just always knew i was.

I guess i would have been able to figure it out on my own. My whole family was Filipino and i was white.

thats quite different to see a white kid in a different race family. THats neat though!

my moms best friend has a son they adopted from Romania. It was on the local news and everything. The husband suprised her with the baby on mothers day! Awww i want a husband like that!

Wow, that is pretty nice.

Being adopted is OK, but other times.....just makes me wonder sometimes. I would have been in a completly different place in my life.

Plus i wouldnt have my Celica.....or my Supra!! wow, dont think i would have liked that life too much, hehe.

I good friend of mine was adopted. She said that thier family was very open about telling her as soon as she was old enough to understand. They knew she would figure it out since the family is white and she is Korean, so they didnt want her to ever wonder why or think it was a taboo or shameful thing to be adopted.

my boyfriend and his brother are adopted. they were adopted from birth. they're both really happy in the family they're in now, my boyfriend and his "mom" even look like, it's pretty crazy

one of my friends adopted to kids taht where 3 months old, they were twins. they are a great family but those kids will figure it out on their own they were apdoted cause they are black and his family is white.

they dont care about race or anything, they want to give them a good family, and a home to live in.
