I went to drift fest this weekend and saw a bunch of 240s and it made me realize how sexy they are - especially in black! I want one so bad - not to drift but as a daily driver so I came home telling my dad I was really considering it but he said I cant because he doesnt have the money to build the 240 he would want to for me :-( I cant sell the celica without their permission because it is in their name. I wish I knew about imports before i got the celica. I think I would have waited out for a black 96 240sx. Im happy with my celica but wow 240s are so sexy. Im on the nissan board more than im on here now. Which im sure soem of u will be happy to hear

I've been on the dark side, i'm like an automotive pimp, got a Celica, '99 Mustang GT, '99 Dodge Ram, '02 Lancer OZ (also have access to a Chevelle) that I drive often and just got rid of a '96 Talon TSi, '99 F-150, '96 Sierra, and '91 Mustang, i'm considering a 240 for a beater or another TSi but every time I find a good deal on one I don't have the money.

BTW you would think as much crap as I talk about Fords and Dodges I wouldn't get within 10' of one, well now you know my reason for hating them the Dodge is in the shop once a month for tranny or oil system problems and the Mustang handles like a retard on roller skates and the gas mileage sucks on both.

They bought the car for me for an early bday/graduation gift ( a year early to be exact) so its under their name...and he builds it cuz thats what my dad does - builds cars :-) plus he helps pay for it more if he does it! and then it becomes a beast and it gets done right

The lure of the dark side has temped me too. Ive lusted over a 240, as well as 300zx, SC300, 3000gt, and 2.5rs. Currently every G35 turns my head, but thats a bit more than i can afford. But i have resisted the call of the dark side by making a deal with myself. Im going to hold on to my car until 2007, ten years since i got her and then i can think of getting a new car. But nothing before then.

Ya know, being the guy who has tried to get rid of his celica to buy every car out there, you'd think I'd have some advice to give.

As far as 240sx goes. Winter will suck. You want an s14? You could probably pick one up for what you sell your celi for. But if you want an sr20, there another couple grand. And you'll want one. Trust me.

Getting sideways is a lot of fun. Just don't be one of those douche bag drifters that feel the need to get sideways in neighborhoods and public roads.

Cars are a big waste of money. Oh, and I think S14's are ugly. Get an S13 and put either a jdm s13 front on it, or s15 front. If you really want a cheap S13 w/ an SR20, my buddy will sell you his. PM me for details, it's very well built up.

my daily driver is my 94 celica GT hatch, with new paint job and body kit and such coming this summer, once my weekend warrior, my 91 240sx with silvia front end conversion built SR and the whole 9 yards.

I love each for their own reasons, and I think it's a perfect combo. I'm gonn keep the celica for another couple years till I get a scion when they come down in price.

my daily driver is my 94 celica GT hatch, with new paint job and body kit and such coming this summer, once my weekend warrior, my 91 240sx with silvia front end conversion built SR and the whole 9 yards.

I love each for their own reasons, and I think it's a perfect combo. I'm gonn keep the celica for another couple years till I get a scion when they come down in price.

SR is eagle and weisco built, Greddy HG, professionaly honed and rebuilt block, stock head for now. Cost over 2500 to be rebuilt.

We'll see how she runs in 5 weeks.

KA is chuggy, so thats why we get the CA or SR.

Even i lost from a 200 sx (s18 or sumthing i dunno). Had about 200 BHP.
But still i have enough power as it is, So i first gonna go for the Show since the Go is already there. Still unbelieveable i dont have any tickets for speeding. Since i am doing 120+ alot

But I've always like 240s, friend had one but he has a 300 now. I get to play w/ one pretty soon. One of the girls I work w/ husband has given me the go ahead to do his sound system setup. He's an engine guy so i'm doing the job for free w/ returns on a port and polish job on my spare head. But the 96+ look awesome very sharp car. & w/ a redtop sr20 or kb26 swap the things have potential to be beast.

when i see a couple scrodes driving them w/ aluminum wings and who knows what else(didn't get to check for FMIC) i think, good god...what has happened.

I feel sorry for true tuners. The 240 is a GREAT platform, and this whole...Pop Culture crap is buying, vandalizing, and then probably wrecking these cars.

RB20, 25, and 26 = 2.0, 2.5 and 2.6L respectively.
