ok there are approx. 360 things wrong with that movie

1) manifold = floor panel?
2) "enough NOS in there to blow himself up" when lookin at the engine bay and not the tanks?
3) eclipse FWD drifting?
4) starting a drag race by shifting into 2nd gear?
5) 3 min long drag race?
6) how NOS doesn't just throw your head back and warp space
7) car with NOS bottles in it blowing up 6 feet in the air?

i like the 1st movie... the 2nd one wasnt as good tho.
real life sucks, so they have to bend the truth in movies to make it seem cooler. its not like its a documentary or anything.

Forget all the technical faults, step back and look at the big picture.

It's really not a very good film. See it for what it is.

How can an S2000 destroy it's radiator and front suspension and still finish the race and escape the cops, yet a Supra does it and the steering system goes to s***.

How come the company that shot this hired a lot of "professionals" to find out what cars are hot, yet they couldn't tell the difference between a Prelude and MR2.

How does a Skyline just happen to be at a used car lot in the middle of a desert.

If Brian was a cop on the run where did he get the money to build an MR2 fast enough to smoke a Ferrari.

Why did Vin Diesel make such a fuss about the Supra and take it, when he ended up with a Camaro.

Since when do you find a 2JZ-GTE in a wrecked Supra that was found in a junkyard.

my fave is in 2f2f and the girl jumps the bridge and no damage is done to her car just a bit to the front bumper i think and shes liek damn it but then 2 mins later she doesnt seem to care!!

jumping that bridge would do a bit more damage and i think someone would be a bit more upset

It was in the storyline between the movies. At the beginning of the 2F2F DVD they show how Brian got the Skyline and how he made it to Miami by racing in an MR2, the only thing was in the script shown prior to the scene they say he used a Prelude.

How about when Spilner goes to the used car lot and sees some jank ass piece of an R34 Skyline GTR just sitting there. HA...come on, why couldn't he have some kick ass connection in Japan and smuggled it into the States? Instead, he has to just come across this skyline like they're everyday cars.

2f2f prelude?
lmao, this could be funny...

Btw, i like the fact that both movies are about cars, i just hate some of the stupid stupid things that they said.

Also didn't understand why his EMS labtop was dancing the the comp, but i didn't question it because there's prob a way to wire up the deck to the comp at the same time? heh

supra weighs more than a s2000, drop them both from the same height, it is likely that the suspension/steering on the supra would recieve more damage, not that either car would survive that jump with just bumper problems, the s2000 is the only car that really did jump the bridge.

i thought it was a 3000gt that he was driving in that connecting movie.

the r34 used in that movie was ruined, its a crappy car.

what good is a classic muscle car if you crash it? thats why he took the supra.

and it wasnt even a 2jzgte in that burnt up supra in FnF, it was a 2jzge, but they talked it up like it was rare for supras to come with a 2jz engine.

Man that movie was just fricken lame ass one. First of all dat movie had nuthin to do with street racing. it was about some stupid ass criminal. the cars in it were bogus. The driving in the movie showed a lack of skill wen u have to drive at 20 sumthin miles per hour and let the editors make it look fast. Some of the cars i've actually seen in person but there were only a couple that were really modded up. It was a 3000gt vr-4 in they connecting movie in the beginning. But come on man, he trashes a skyline and grabs an EVO intsead? He shudve kept the gtr all they way. and the story shud have been about actual street racing.

are you sure it was a 2jz-ge?
there was some little cars or cards that gave the FnF car stats(could have been fake
but the civic they had in the 4-car drag was supposedly turbo and ~400 hp
and Supra was ~650hp according to them...i haven't seen GE's get that high w/o going GTE

that white civic in the drag was in fact turbo and around 400hp. It was an actual car that they "rented" from a "streetracer." come to think of it that acutal owner is the driver in the race. The supra yada was craig Libermans so im guessing that 650 is about right consider who he is...ie also owns the skyline in 2f2f and he now drives a sick ass M3 thats sponsered by magnaflow exhaust. Also the green eclipse in the first one was a no turbo that they turboed ie RS becomes RST and ran something like low 13's in 1/4. Not bad for your everyday eclipse/NEON engine tongue.gif

in that middle movie thing "Turbocharged Pralude" (I think) its not that he drives a pralude, there actualy useing the word pralude (nothing to do with the car I think, they would not be that dumb)

What I really wana know is if all of you guys hate those movies so bad how is it that you know so much about then, and can quote lines and talk (in detail) about the cars used? tongue.gif

as far as a movie goes they are not that bad, besides you can compare any move to real life and find just as manny "fake" things, There movies. that is what there for, to exasturbate real life things.

I could be wrong I haven't seen that movie in a while, I thought it might have been an MR2, either way it wasn't a Prelude, and yes they do say he drove a Prelude. I liked them for movies, but they were too "Charlies' Angels" and made every 16 year old kid slap a trash can under his 4 door '86 Honda Civic and try to race with it. I remember before both of those movies, we use to go out on a highway the city was building, maybe 20 cars would show and everybody knew eachother, this movie comes out and that 20 jumps to 75, then over a hundred. I like them because they opened up the import market, but the wrong (Autozone) companies jumped on the bandwagon.

BTW if the Supra was heavier then how come the Skyline jumped the Supra and landed without a scratch. I love movie magic but to many people out there take this stuff seriously and think some of these cars can do this, yes the Skyline can drift but I believe they used a RWD version to make it slide more.

he never drove a Prelude, nor did they imply it. "Turbocharged Prelude" they meant the little mini PRELUDE that INTRODUCED 2F2F. It's not an incredibly hard subject, you just gotta know the meanings of some words.

Use your big words children.

I don't think they need to downshift in a straight line, and even autocross doesn't downshift as much as they did in that movie.

I guess I need to rent these movies again. I heard about a third one coming out taking place in Japan, yeah they'll probably be drifting instead of drag or autocross since that's the "popular" thing right now.

Yeah I remember it was something they did to make it RWD, but now you got kids in Evos and STis trying to drift them when they were designed to rally, just think how much stress goes on those drivetrains while drifting.

I meant asphalt stress stress, on dirt it's a whole other thing trust me I use to go off roading and the suspension is more important that is why the Evo drivetrain is only good for about 600 hp (seriously the highest i've ever seen was 714 whp and it had some decent upgrades on the drivetrain), double clutching hasn't been required in a vehicle in about 40 years.
