When do you guys bring a girl home? Do you only do it when your serious with the girl?

I used to never ever allow a guy to come over but now if I think i may be with him for a month or longer ill have him come over. I never let them stay for dinner or anything (mainly cuz we never have a sit down dinner) My brother never brings home a girl unless hes very serious with her. What about you guys?

Last night I met my boyfriends parents. His mom is german and so nice and great cook. His dad is very laid back and great to talk to. He says he never brings home girls but I made a great impression. After we were done with dinner I excused myself and offered to take their finished plates to the kitchen. They made a comment that theyve never had a girl do that! :-) I hope they like me. I think its a make or break it when it comes to parents. Atleast on my end! if my parents dont like a guy im seeing ill definetly 2nd think who im seeing.

I probably would have a girl come over even if we weren't too serious...just to hang out together I guess.

I didn't meet my girlfriends parents for about 3 months after we got together. She didn't meet my parents until even after that. Then again her dad is a pastor and she wasn't allowed to come over...though we've been together for almost a year and a half now and they're fine with me.

Sounds like you made quite a good impression on them. wink.gif

wait til it's serious - wait let me re-phrase that - wait til you think it's serious cuz if she's asking to meet the parents she thinks it is

If the boy is scared by a dog and an unloaded shotgun, he isn't worth the time.

Mind you, I spent my teen years with a 90-pound dog who never lost a fight (never started one either), and am currently living with my sister's pair of 110-pound Great Dane crosses (one should be heavier, but lost a lot of muscle when her rear legs were bad). Big dogs don't scare me, but that's because I've never been bitten by anything I couldn't use for a football.

all depends on how long it takes to start having sex. HAHA, funny thing is there's some truth to that. Generally, with me, if I plan on dating a girl, my family is some of the first people they meet because I am very close to my parents and my sister and they are fun as hell to kick it with, so basically, that's a test of whether or not the girl will work out, because if you can't get along w/ my family, then the relationship won't go far.

I don't hesitate. How long she gets along with my mother is a big deal to me. If they can hit it off, it's pretty cute.

Parents are a judge of character you may not be able to see as well.

well he doesnt live with his parents so its not like i just come over and they are there. They live an hour drive from him so its kinda like he has to go out of his way.

I have no problem meetin parents but i didnt know we were going to see them so i was a little embarassed of my shirt since it was so low cut but his mom didnt mind at all - thank god! :-)
