EXTRA NOTES:

-we are going to get the paint job professionally done later
-the rims, mesh grille, and any decals will be gold soon
-there are still many things that i have to do to the body before i start focusing on interior and performance
-a drop is in the near future (not sure which route i'm gonna go though)
-1320 Performance and Sound is the shop that i do all of my business at...major props to those guys
-I'll try to get some day time pics ASAP

*how do you guys like those fender flares? biggrin.gif

im all for keeping the body real and closer to stock, thats why i bought because its already hot but ricing it up makes it seem hon'duh'ish, but hey everyone has their own style and so go for it...but if i was ebert i give it thumbsdown.gif thumbsdown.gif

I fail to see how the front fenders are 'TRD' and how the rear vents are functional.

I need to see some daylight pictures.

Stick with the silver looks a lot cleaner and professional

With these wide fenders you might also consider to put distances on wheels to align them with fender edge. This would look even better in my opinion.

yeah, we're still talking about the color of the mesh and the tires. i just know that i want them to match. the thing is that everybody who has a blue car either has their contrasting color silver or white. I'm just trying to go for a look that stands out but still looks clean...we'll see.

also, the back tires will be having spacers put on them to give the image that i have larger tires and it will help fill out the fender with the flares. that is also what is going to make the back vents fuctional...the air will be able to go through and cool the brakes. of course it's mainly for show, but nobody has vents in their car that let you see through the other side.

and as for the vents in the front being trd...that is the style vent that many supras have on their fenders. the only difference is that on the supra it is just a cut out triangle with mesh or some type of covering. on mine it actually goes through to the front wheel well. this one is functional because when driving, especially turning, wind hits the back of your wheel well. these vents allow for that drag to be released.

Looks hot!

Love the color, but I would concur with others, stick with accent color as silver. Subaru ruined the gold/ blue look with having cars come off the line with the gold rims on blue cars.

I love how it looks. Jealous of how it look!

Ya, I didnt mean ruined. It looks really good. They just made it something which is no longer as rare. I guess I ment they made it something more common. It does look good, don't get me wrong. I would love one of those wrx's right now... sigh.

ok guys, here are the much needed daytime pics. i just washed the car and took the pictures like 15 minutes ago.

if you see any parts where the paint runs, there's lines or spots, or the paint is too thin; that is the byproduct of an amateur paintjob in a normal garage. hence the reason i will get a professional paintjob. although, i love the color, i just might want to make it a little darker and give it a larger flake.

P.S. I mean really, how many people do you know that have a blue car with gold accents other than some of subaru's wrx's? not too many. most of the blue cars (even on this site) have either white or silver accents. not that i don't like it...i'm just trying to give it a look that'll stand out.

I love the flares, but it definatly looks a bit stangish, maybe a different spoiler would look better. You def need some spacers and wider wheels too.

other than that, nice job on the paint, makes me wish I had a garage.

Great job

yeah, i know...

i want to get a trd spoiler (with the led brake lights) and shave the brake lights on the hatch

also, for a drop i was considering air bags so that when i take it to the show i can slam it 1/2 and inch from the ground, but i still wan to install the 3sgte next summer. if i did that, i would end up having to sell the air rides and get a coilover kit anyway, so i think that's what i am going to go for. the only thing is that i don't know of any coilover kit that will drop anymore than 2 inches...do you guys have any ideas?

...and i never really thought of it looking like a mustang, but i don't know...that's intersting

i think the fender flares don't realy match on the car well its too harsh

i think you should mold them to look more "one-piece" like part of the car's body so that they look like the belong there
right now it kinda just looks like they were stuck there

i don't know...i like the way that the flares work with the natural curves of the car with the body kit. we tried to keep it so that they were fender flares instead of a wide body kit

ok guys, here's the plan.

i think i am going to get air bags so that i can slam the car at the shows...give the tires a good tuck.

when i get the 3sgte i'm gonna sell the air rides to a friend of mine with a wide body del sol.

Mad props for the custom work, I think im with player though, i think i would like the look of a wide obody kit i\rather then flares, Also the rear pics really do look like a stang. Is the rear vent useable for the brakes? and def get soem spacers.

Great job man.

hey guys, thanks for all the comments! you are a bunch of guys that i totally respect in the wonderful world of cars...and to hear you commenting on my car is totally awesome.

but to answer your question digndoug, yes the rear vents will work with the brakes but not untill i get the spacers. right now the vent is just sending air straight to the tires but when i get the spacers it will allow the air to be sent behind the tires -- to the brakes.
