I'll be getting a 6th gen GT soon, with headers on it and a CAI in a box with it. It also has a Stage One clutch in it. I'm wondering what is the best way to go about upping the overall performance (power, suspension) and look (interior and exterior). I have a TRD short shifter for it, and I was thinking about either springs or coilovers (don't know, advice?) and definitely an exhaust. I also was going to put some GT-4 spoiler blocks on it, to enhance the look. The tint job isn't the best, but that's not a need, in my oppinion. I was wondering what some of you people have done to your cars and gotten the best results, both performance and styling.

Not looking for a show car, and not looking to turbo (I have an All-Trac already), just something to make it a little sportier and fun to drive. This will be my daily driver, so I don't want to dump a ton of money into it, nor do I want to make it a show car. I like the lines of the 6th gen, especially the GT-4.

Its got JDM tails on it and reverse indiglo gauges already. I am just wanting to hear some ideas. I've tried looking through all the parts available but only a few have feedback from people, which is what I was interested in. Sorry for the lack of order in this post.

Bottom line, what have you guys and gals done that you have been pleased with and what have you done that you have been displeased with?

Let me know, thanks. :-)

Well, for a daily driver.. put a nice stereo in, maybe a K&N replacement filter, exhaust if you please.. Lower and body kit should you feel thats reasonable, I'd say springs unless you have bad winters and such..

The shifter is really all you need from a drivers perspective... bank the money or put it into the alltrac.

I agree with mark_426...I wouldn't worry about making your sixth gen. fast since you have an All-Trac. If you want to invest 2-3 grand into your sixth gen. I'd invest in suspension components. Sway bars, full coilovers(D2 or Tein SS) or Ground Controls/goog springs and Koni Yellows will make a huge difference.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Ooooh, I have an idea.

RIPP Mods supercharger, $3400 or something.. I think they're still in developmental processes for a celica, but call em and find out.

You'd def be unique.

As far as dumping money into the All-Trac, I was thinking on fixing some rear fender rust and then a new BOV maybe, and new tires then selling it... or... purposely brake checking someone, total the car, take the engine, and swap it......

into the 6th gen...

lol. I just think that would be funny. Seriously though, I was just gonna take care of the rust and toss new tires on it and sell it.

I have a van too, that I want to sell. I just want an N/A Celica thats sporty enough for weekend drives but is still driveable as a daily driver.

If I ever thought about an engine swap, it would prolly be a 3SGE, but those are rare from what I understand. I like the 6th gen, but its more a styling thing. The bug eyes bother me, but I do like the interior a lot more than the 5th gen. They are essentially the same car, but oh so different. I dunno. Continue on with the good mods and the bad, I'm very intrigued.

If the quad headlights bother you, try a Curren front end conversion

The Curren looks quite worse, in my oppinion. I like smooth lines like the Supra and the fifth gen, but the overall package of the 6th gen is the ideal Celica... The headlights are just like beer: gotta learn to love it, ya know?
