is a 5th gen celica gas tank the same as the 6th?? sorry if its a really stupid answer.. this kid near me has a 92 celica with a supra wing and 18 inch rims.. it sits there and im friends with him so i was like how much u want for that.. he calls me up and says 1200.. only thing wrong is that it needs a gas tank (has a hole in it now).. so im like anything else wrong.. nope nothing.. i kno i can get a 6th gen tank but idk about a 5th gen.. so is there much difference??? also he can bargain on the price.. so i might pick this up

Scan the junkyards for a tank -- and check if his car has a problem with the tank or one of the hoses, which is more likely.

whats the problem - did you see the leak?
check the hose(s) going to the fuel pump.. I had a leak on mine, and it looked like it was the gas tank, but the fuel ran down the hose on the tank and rolled off the tank.. also check if its constant or just when running. I'm kinda guessing they're different though.. but not for sure -------------------- If anyone needs interior stuff, etc, I'm parting whats left of my celi out. Just ask.

the only problem i kno of is there is a hole in the gas tank.. so it needs a new one.. and the car runs and everything but im guessing leaks gas?
