SoCal End of the Summer Meet Options

HEY HEY. I'm sooo unorganized but me and Chanh (the other guy that helped me plan the meet) changed our minds.


Ok so we're having a meet on Friday. The majority of us have work and don't get off until late afternoon.

If we have a bonfire at 7, that means we will be paying 10 bucks to park our cars for 3 hours till we get kicked out of the beach. I think that's a waste of money. We're there to check out each other's rides not have a bonding kumbaya bonfire...

I say, we meet up at Ralph's at 6:30-7:00 (FREE), get aquanted and talk about our cars for an hour or so...

Cruise up and down PCH a couple times.

Grab a bite at Alertos (Good Mexican food), then head to Starbucks a block away (big empty lot)
Talk about our cars some more...

Finally,

Call it a night...

Yeah you guys are right, there are a bunch of 6gc's in socal. However they're driven by middle aged ladies with mods like pinstripes, leather bumper bra and door ding gaurds.

We were talking about cooking food at the bonfire, but usually people don't really eat the food because #1, it's usually cooked horribly, #2 sand somehow always gets on the food.

So I suggest just having chips, drinks and maybe s'mores. So make a list of things you want us bring: wood, ice chest, drinks, clothes hanger (for s'mores) etc... and have people sign up for them so that it's not double bought. DON'T BE STINGY, EVERYONE BRING SOMETHING!

i have a small 15 inch grill that i use at 1 am for bon fires/bbq's its just small but just big enought to cook some hot dogs and a few burgers.

I also think i have some left over coals. and instead of coat haingers kabob sticks work great too as ur not supose to roast the melo over fire but other hot coals/amber.

Yeah so since Kayla hacked onto my name, I second what she said. I was really thinking about it, because I love food, and haha their should be at least a little food at the meet, right? Yeah I agree with snacks, drinks, chips, burgers, hot dogs, anything. If you guys want to volunteer anything, that would be great. Urbandork thanks for volunteering your grill you're awesome! Haha well here's a few things that would be great, and if you guys want to sign up for something, tell me or if you want to bring anything else, tell me as well:

(going south on Brookhurst, Ralphs will be on the right, it's right next to a Del Taco.)

When you get there, drive around till you see some Celis parked.

If you're going to be late, try to get there before 8:00-8:30pm.

2) After everyone arives, we'll cruise PCH and enjoy the scenery and all the other nice cars on PCH.

3) Hit Alertos and grab some Mexican food.

It's a little far from PCH, but the drive there will be fun, and it's kind of the hang out place for Import Cars.

Depending on how crowded Alertos is, we can either eat there, or get it to go and go down the street to Starbucks where there's a huge empty lot.
