So i took off my valve cover to clean, change gasket, and paint. After cleaning it a little I realized the words "16 VALVE" on the valve cover were coming off. Does anyone know where I can get those words or how much it would cost?

$2-3 at a trophy shop for vinyl... but that might not work on a valve cover. wink.gif

I personlally would go to a trophy shop and have them make a negative of whatever you wanted it to say... take it home, put the negative on there, and then spray it with whatever color you want.

Works like a charm. wink.gif

He's saying to get a template of "16 VALVE" put it over the spot where it should be and spraypaint it. That would work, but it won't match the other words next to the throttle body. I'm going to try to chrome out the lines on the valve cover and paint the rest of it black.

I painted the valve cover and chromed out the lines on it today, but as you can see, I still need that "16 VALVE" decal:

Looking good, what paint did you use to paint it?

ahem... trophy shop. wink.gif I swear man, get the negative of 5-SFE or something and paint it white... or even grind it down to metal like you dide the black. it woudl look rockin. wink.gif

Oh, and and not to bash your job, which looks great, but I HATE plastikote paint.

I personally LOVE Duplicolor ceramic 1200 degree black. It has just a hint of red in it, and it flows out SO smooth.

Yea, but great job so far mang.

Haha, if only I knew about the Duplicolor beforehand. The trophy shop thing is a good idea, but I saw my "celica" decal on the back of the car today and was wondering if they made one like that but smaller so it could fit in the spot where i'm missing "16 VALVE"? Or maybe another decal could fit in there like a TRD one or something?

If somebody can host the file, I have the font for the Celica and MR2 lettering -- makes it really easy to create a stencil.
