Hey guys, i was just wondering what tires you would recommend for all season driving- I need new tires because of the sh** winter were supposed to have on the east coast, so im buying new rims while im at it biggrin.gif

Ive heard lots of good comments about the Kumho Ecsta Supras, and others, but could i get away with using a tire like the Ecsta Supra in the snow?? Any advice/reccomendations would be appreciated, particularly from people who have bought performance tires and use them in snowy weather.

I would say with winter upon us...
Put snow or intermediate tyres on your standard rims;
Save your money up, and come the Spring -
Buy new rims and performance tyres.

That way, winter comes you put on your orginal wheels with the snow tyres and have any worries. Come Spring you swap over to your new rims and performance tyres.
This way every winter your covered and you don't wreck your new rims with salt and grime during winter.

That's what I do...and I live in the French Aples.

Silver when you get you rims don't let them stick you with sucky tires. do your homework on the tries, they might just be the most important thing on your car. make sure that you get tires that handle great in the rain. I'll tell you what my dad told me about tires. NEVER GO CHEAP ON TIRES OUR YOU'LL REALLY PAY FOR IT.

I use dunlop SP Sport 5000. They are W rated performace all-seasons. I use them for winter now, and I live in toronto canada. I don't know about the other all-season tires, but i did some research, they are pretty good. I am quite happy with them. They cost me around $130 CDN each.

I have the Kuhmo's supra 712 and I love them. I have no worries in the rain with them, they are really good with the wet weather (rain haven't tried them in the snow yet) and are great on dry roads. The ride is good on them, road noise isn't bad at all. So I would say for the money I woudl get the 712 they are not bad on the walet and a good quality.
