"PROJECT GT4" WITH 19INCH WHEELS
Well, the 19inch wheels have now arrived and have been installed. They are Fondmetal wheels from Italy. The fronts are 19x8 running 225-35-19 and the rears are 19x9 running 235-35-19. I think the back will take 245-35-19...which I will get to give a broder stance. It took me almost two months to get these wheels (hard to get a 5x100 for front wheel drive in a staggered offset and different widths), but I have to say I am very happy with them.

nope...no problem with rubbing at all. The car is lowered 1.5 inches.

Oh, and yes the car looks fast, but its a daily driver...and gas mileage is an issue. My 4th get alltrac drinks...or should I say guzzles gas...850cc injectors and 2 TT Supra fuel pumps. So, swapping my 4th gens 3sgte motor is not an option!!! biggrin.gif

But if I decide to keep the car for an extended period of time...a normal 3sgte or a BEAMS 3sge is the most likely swap.

ahh...I don't wanna talk about it now. I am still trying to hide all the receipts so I don't have to lok at them too much...it wasn't cheap...but it was affordable for 19 inch rims tongue.gif biggrin.gif

ill post the total cost in a couple days...once I get over it.

What's next for your car?

Well, the GT4 fogs (already have them) to install, front lip spoiler, rear extentions. That should complete the exterior. (possible JDM rears)

Then rear discs and then may turn my attention to an engine swap.

BTW: thanks for all the positive comments guys...

wow...thats kind of weird thinking every time a person turns on their computer...they see my car. biggrin.gif But thats a compliment...so I will just say thanks.

As far as the camera goes...its a Sony Mavica...its easy...just point, zoom in or out, push button. Of course you have to set up if you want 640x480, 1028x768, etc. I never even read the manual!!!

Your car looks tight but the acceleration must have taken a kick in the head. I think our Celicas look better than Supras when they have a nice kit and wheels specially the GT-4 hood and the stuff you have on your car.

look at top of this page to get part numbers and go to your toyota dealership. Nope, they fit fine...just very minor mods here and there...

man the thing is on rails!!! My 4th gen GT-4 has full TRD suspension on 18x8in all around...the sticking power of the 6th gen rivals my 4wd GT-4. I mean no matter what I do...it just goes around the corner at just about any speed...without any fuss.

Does anyone else ever feel that there's always something that looks a little 'unnatural' about a USDM celica converted to GT-4 aesthetic? There's just something "off" about it that I can't quite put my finger on, but everytime I see it, I just know I'm not looking at the real deal somehow.
