do you have drums? Well you might have to tighetn the adjuster screw thats at the bottom of the brakes that will spread the brakes apart.

i just did my drums you need to run the adjuster out a little ways and get them petty close to touching (to where you can stilll slide the drum on ) and then before you drive pump the brakes and they should adjust themselves out the rest of the way being as they are self adjusting

The drums are self-adjusting up top, at the wheel cylinder. The bolt on the bottom has to be manually adjusted, somewhat, as crazycel18 noted. You'll want to drive it a bit and make a series of forward and reverse stops to get them to completely adjust.

The parking brake should also adjust itself if you work it up and down a few times. If it still stays loose, pull the centre console and adjust the brake lever. You'll see two nuts on a single rod at the base of the handle. Hold the bottom nut and loosen the top one. The bottom nut adjusts the position of the handbrake handle, while the top nut locks the adjusting nut into position. You should have 4-7 clicks when applying moderate force to lock the brakes.

I think i just need to self adjust it a bit, cause i put them on, with the bolt completely back. as in the lowist setting so the drum would fit on. I think im gunna pull them off tomorrow and adjust top the point it barley goes on. Cause it seems i can pull the brake all the way and it somewhat tightens and i then have rear brakes.. I just hate drums.. but dont like my car enough to bother swaper rear disc's.
