I know that everyone wants a JDM 3sgte engine, but do auto part stores sell parts for them? Liek spark plugs, wires, oil filters. the stuff to do a tune up with/ fix the engine if it doesn't work. Are the parts going to have to be ordered from Japan??

Just thinking about potential problems

As long as its 1st or 2nd gen u can use US-Spec parts for them. The only difference between USDM and JDM is gas emissions.

yea depending what gen 3SGTE you get...

once you go to store (eg pep-boys, auto-zone) just ask them for,

90-93 Celica All-Track, or MR-2 Turbo parts... etc....

yeah, i don't normally think of autozone and stuff really having import parts. it's mostly for domestics. if you order toyota parts, you pay more than you would at the dealer, cuz the store will buy it from the dealer then sell it to you.

so getting a ST205, 94-99 3sgte would be a pain to get the parts to do my own stuff to it. Is that what you are saying?

yes, for that, you have to order parts from japan or the UK... like everyday parts. say you need a new timing belt, or spark plug wires... you have to order it from japan, and your car could be down for 6-8 weeks waiting for that teeny part to come in.
