summer is over and back in school. i was able to save up almost 2 thousand dollars, and i want to turbo the celica weather it is by swaping the engine or turboing the engine. i have 130,000 miles on the engine so i'm not sure if that engine can take the turbo and not blow up 6 months later. i've found a 3sgte engine for $1350 with 76k miles on it at junkyard the rest of them have above 130k. if i go with this i'll only have 700 bucks left and i would still need the tranny, ecm, etc. PLEASE help me invest my money wisely cause i went thrue hell to get it. which direction should i go in.thanx in advance

Yeah, you can't afford a full swap or reliable turbo, keep saving.

Are you in college? If not, save for that.

if your thinking of a 3s-gte swap just run your GT tranny if its in good condition. that way you can run that till you can afford to deal with the mr2 tranny, this way you still have 2 options. i guess it can go the other way around but that would be downgrading.... dont do that tongue.gif

buy the motor now and keep it, and keep saving for the other parts. thats what i would do. someone might come along and buy the motor before you if you just keep it there. right?
