Well I just got this new job. The company just made the biggest advertisement effort in their history right before the big power outage. After the power outage our servers went down so we lost our online support (my job) for like 5 days. It made the company lose so much money that they have to shut down the online support and do tons of pay cuts and lay-off's. My first day of the job was also my last. I'm PISSED! And the whole thing was caused by some guy that didn't show up to work and he was the only person that could fix the outage.... i can't even get unemployment because i havent worked there long enough. mad.gif mad.gif

</rant>

Anyone else affected by the outage?

umm....the guy cut the wrong wire, triggering an anti overload protection system turning off the local and several remote plant locations.

sorry to hear that though. what company do u work for? what was their advertisement effort? and why dont they have back up generators for the servers? its sounds pretty stupid to shut down online support when it would the busiest area after being out of service for 5 days.
